I want to be able to burn CDs and DVDS.

I do not need a new monitor, printer, or mouse, though I could use a new keyboard and speakers.

I want my DREAM computer -- I last purchased a desktop in 2001 and I know he's on his last leg. I feel it in my soul.

So what do you all recommend? I do not want a Mac. How much do you think I should pay for it, including the new MS Office?
Call Dell. They'll custom build you whatever you want.

You're welcome!

I agree with Kevin. I didn't think I could build a computer but I helped and it wasn't too bad.

If you ever want an amazing computer, PM me, especially if its for graphic design/gaming. I don't build them but I do love the people who do.

You probably just need drivers for the sound card. Is the card built into the motherboard or is it a PCI card? If it's built in, the speaker plugs will be up near the USB, monitor, etc. plugs. If it's a PCI card, the speaker plugs will be down where the expansion slots are. Sound cards are relatively cheap so if all else fails, you could buy one and install the drivers yourself because they will come with it. If built in, it could be hard to find drivers. If it's a card, it should say on the card what kind it is.
