Well, my bf Shawn, for our 6-mo. anniversary, actually made a small book, writing out every day we were together (from Nov. 2000) and listing under each date what he loved about me (different item listed each day!) I love him, even though we are going through a tough time right now.

I do feel lucky, indeed!!! Buy hey, it's been SEVEN YEARS and it hasn't always been a painting on the wall or chocolate cake. We all go through rough times. Just hang in there...it'll be o.k. That's what makes relationships so great...bouncing out of those tough times.

My guy and I have been together nearly 4 years, and we've had our share of ups and downs - but he's always a wonderfully sweet guy. Its the little things he does for me:

Sometimes at night, if I've been at his place, he'll walk me inside and when I go to wash off makeup and put on PJs, he'll pull my bed down and fluff up my pillows for me. Or if I'm at the computer working and all stressed, he'll give me a backrub. He even skipped his classes last wednesday when I fell down and hurt my back - he wanted to drive me to the doctor

Newbie: I hope things get better for you. I know its hard when a relationship gets wierd. Josh and I fought once our entire first year together - we were like magic together. And then things went downhill. But, we stuck it out, and now things are better than ever! We're even talking about finding a time in the future to talk about marriage Just hang in there girl! It'll always get better *hug*

Thanks Juniorgrrl! I love Greekchat, it's allowing me to write out all what I'm feeling . Josh sounds awesome!!! Wow, I won't be surprised if you are married soon...and what a wonderful married-couple you guys would make! I read in my "Love Stories" thread of how you guys were "destined" right from the beginning! Wow, you only fought once in your whole first-year together! That's amazing. Well, Shawn and I have been fighting lately...and I think I am one reason...b/c I might just be taking out my stress on him, I don't know! It first started when a third party, my good friend Brian, started liking me...and it has just caused tenseness in our relationship! . Thanks for being there for me, Juniorgrrl!

I've found that stress is toxic. to you, your life, everything.

unfortunately, it took lots of fights between josh and me sparked over one of us being stressed to realize that.

now, if one of us is feeling stressed and a bit "off" we give each other space for a few hours.

It takes a bit of practice to learn how to manage stress without it affecting others, but once you do, you find that you make less stress for yourself in the long run
