Advice:

Stay busy. (Pretty self-explanatory)
Get to know the you you are now. (We spend so much time focused on 'we' we forget the 'me' part. Get to know you!!)

Honestly, I've had more fabulous dinner dates and string-free outings than I could count on both hands and feet! The nights I thought I would be 'lonely' I hung out with my girls Samantha, Carrie, Char and Miranda...baked some cookies, drank some wine.

Oh, and when you do have have a bf who has a significant other and she wants to double - just think of all the choices you have to choose from!! She just has that same ol' guy, you on the other hand could bring the artist..the cutie from the coffee shop...the guy that walks his dog every morning at 7...catch my drift?

I have such a hard time with that b/c 3 years have left me with a lot of ___ & I stories, so I make a lot of references to him.

ohhhhh you too!!! I had to revert to "me and a friend" when I started telling those stories. Thankfully I can say that with all wholeheartedness NOW....for about 6-8 months I only referred to him as "that boy"
I lost a lot of good friend that were mutual who felt polarized by the situation so they just kinda stepped away I guess.

But as for trite advice....."there are thousands of women everyday who get excited over nothing and them marry him" welp that won't be you!
