Hey juniorgrrl--I didn't know exactly how many grams of fat the box had but I figured it was alot. I have a friend that used to work there and she told me a lot of the "secrets".
You really should try Serrano's...it's delicious!!!
Oh...and as for getting lost in Port Allen...I'm from Baton Rouge so I know my way around. Getting lost in Port Allen is pretty bad though...but getting stuck in Plaquemine or Brusly is even worse!!! LOL!!!!

Geaux Tigers!
I never thought I would say that with enthusiasm and excitement. Growing up, coming to LSU was my worst nightmare. I had my heart set on going to Tulane (at the time it was a better school). I didn't want to go to a state school - I thought there was some horrible stigma about it, that it was a "bad" school.
Be careful what you wish for - I got a scholarship to Tulane and attended for a semester. I hated it. It was a colossal waste of time and money. My decision to transfer to LSU was based solely on the fact that I had lots of advanced standing credit here and the TOPS program covered my tuition completely.
Best half-assed decision I ever made!
I love it here - the oak trees, the friendly student body, tailgating before a football game, having a picnic by the campus lakes on a pretty spring day, flying kites on the parade grounds, Retro-active night at the Varsity, making party cups for different events, jogging down sorority row, seeing my boyfriend all dressed up in his band uniform before a football game, CEBA, eating at Cane's, riding around aimlessly because there's nothing else to do...all of it!

There's nothing wrong with the University of Illinois campus. I'll admit that sometimes it smells like cow manure because it's surrounded by farms, but the campus itself is fine. There are a lot of really nice old buildings. I have never been to Iowa though, so I can't compare.
Actually, I enjoyed Illinois for most of the same reasons as Hawkeye enjoyed Iowa: huge school with lots of different kinds of people, hundreds of courses and majors, big-time sports programs, prominent Greek system, lots of activities and organizations, a great recreation complex, lots of restaurants in Campustown, 14 bars with a 19 entry age, etc.

I picked UW-Milwaukee over some ot the big 10 schools that i wanted to go to...i picked it because it's smaller..about 22,000 and about 30% of the school commute from other places nearby. It takes 10-15 minutes tops to walk from one side of campus to the other, and you don't need to take a damn bus!!
Not to mention i hope to run with their awesome track team this spring..just began to practice..hoping to get that phat scholarship, if i don't start tearing acl's again! LOL
so there it is in a nutshell..o not to mention, i've met many many good people, joined a few groups and a few of my better friends from home go here too!

Alright, I have to chime in on this U of Ill. thread... I went to Illinois State and I must say, we took some great road trips over to Champaign... the party scene was great. I have to say, though, that our Quad was MUCH nicer than theirs
