Chapter Pets
Does your chapter have a pet?
A lot of Sigma Nu chapters usually have a pet Snake. We had a Basset Hound named Norman Synbad Westerfeld.
Here's his composite pic:

The only animals we were allowed to have in the house were fish, so no, we didn't have an official pet. There was this cute little kitty who camped out on our back patio all the time. She never went away, so we started feeding her and ended up naming her Violet.

We have a 2 year old Ball Python named Zeta (after our chapter...Zeta Iota)
UC Berkeley Sigma Nu has three snakes named Alpha 1, Alpha 2, and Alpha 3 in honor of the Founders.
Fresno State USED to have a 15 foot long Boa named Zima but she passed away last year after over 10 years of living at the Fresno Sigma Nu.

I know that the DU chapter at Northwestern has a female dog (Pug, I think.).
I saw them walking the dog in their letters and then take it in the house (they were walking the dog to a greek event).

We aren't allowed to have pets in the sorority houses at UCF. However, there's a dog (or was... when I was there) that would wander from Tri-Delta to Kappa Delta to ADPi. We called him the Delta Dog and the KD's built him a little dog house. He seemed happy and well-fed, so I'm not sure if he was a stray or just a rambler.

When I rushed, AEPhi had a cute little house dog. I don't remember what kind it was but I do remember they brought him out after the first round skit.

Ohhhhh....seeing this picture makes me want to cry. I just gave up my three year old basset hound, Fred. What sweet dogs! Unfortunately, they are not ideal dogs to have in a home with no backyard!
As for Beenie Weenie....dachshunds tend to have strong personalities (except for my dog Rascal who is afraid of his own shadow!) I have two males and my mom owns a female. Two out of the three can be b*tches!

In 2004 one of my bros adopted a dog that I hear was part corgi and part pitbull. He had the biggest head and the littlest legs thus his name was Stubby. One ear stayed up, the other did not, it was funny. I loved that dog. When we moved to our new house he lived with me and my big bro cuz his owner was rooming with my pledge bro and my pledge bro hated the dog and the dog hated him. Most the people liked him but not all. One guy had a $200.00 reward for whoever killed Stubby. Unfortunately Stubby got hit by a car in a few summers back. Since then I have been the only house pet, well, we kinda have a snake that we randomly found crawling under a couch when we went to move the couch outside it was under it and for some reason its in a tank in our garage. Anyways, here's a few pictures of the coolest house pet ever...

I have a dalmatian/jack russell mix whose ears do the same thing. We think it makes her look confused all the time.
