We will get our bids around 6:00 tonight. I can sincerely say that I hope it says Copeland on it. If it does, you better believe I will be the sprinting to the lane to join my new sisters!
Oh, now you have me crying! I'll say a prayer that you'll be dancing to Copeland later tonight!

Aw, Soliloquy, I knew if you gave Copeland a chance you would see the beauty in it, and you did! They really would be so lucky to have you as a sister. I've got my fingers crossed for you. Go Copeland!!!!

Good luck Soliliquy. That is quite a journey you have taken this last week and I hope that it works out. I think Copeland would be blessed from gaining you as a sister. Looking forward to reading what happens next!

Dear Soliloquy,

I have been very impressed by your attitude and your eloquence throughout this entire recruitment thread, ever since you began it way back when. I sincerely hope that when I come back later tonight/tomorrow morning, that I find that you got your heart's desire. Maybe your friend is looking out over you, helping to lead you in this direction
Good luck tonight!

If a chapter didn't make quota through formal recruitment, right after rush is the time they're are most intent on snap bidding and CORing up to total.

Soliloquy, I'm thinking about you sweetie.

I've been sitting, tabulating, all weekend for recruitment and I can say it's not pleasant. Don't get me wrong I love helping out and being with my sisters, but recruitment "isn't fun" (so to speak). Girls get hurt (I think on both sides). One day a PNM has a wonderful conversation and is thought of highly and the next she has a stifeled conversation with the rusher and she is dropped. It bites the big one. I can't imagine how you are feeling (hell I can't imagine how any of the PNM's at ASU are feeling).

Just keep your head high and know that you are worth it and you are good enough and formal recruitment is a tough, stressful process and that if COR is available go for it. COR is so much more informal.

Plus, shouldn't your recruitment counselor be keeping you in the loop. I know Pan-hel wants to celebrate with their new members but they need to remember the girls who went bidless. IMPO.

I was browsing through the stories since I had missed so much, and ASUADPi has an excellent excellent point. Recruitment is so difficult for the PNM's but also for the sisters, and we definitely got our hearts broken by some girls that chose not to come back or sign our bids, especially seeing them new member another org and see them change, it hurts. At my school, we called COR, COB and we almost always got the majority of the sisters through this, because the PNM's were able to get to know us, which is so important.

ZTA calls COB, CROWN (Continuously Recruiting Outstanding Women Now) and we always picked up several girls through this right after formal recruitment. And since my chapter was fairly small, CROWN was always part of our recruitment budget and we looked forward to the events, as they were a lot less stressful and it was easy to get quality women since we got to know them better before extending bids.

I literally just finished COB (got bids yesterday) and absolutely loved it. I got to sit down and spend some quality time with the girls and get a good sense of what the house was really about without being too stressed. Definitely look into it! Good luck!
