Ladygreek,

Please do buy that book. I say "that book" because to me, it's as much for the world, as it is for me. Like Dr. Angelou stated herself ever so keenly:

"Our gifts are not our own. They don't belong to us, and we'd better be good stewards of these gifts, lest He take them away"
- Dr. Maya Angelou

I hope that people truly dig my work and I hope that when you get it, you'll write me saying so Ladygreek. Is Sen a writer? I'm due to meet with Malik Yoba in May down in Atlanta to see if he'd like to partner with me on a project that I'm working on that focuses on Poetry. That dude is starting his own Writing Production Company, and I started my own Production Company as well nearly a year ago, so, we'll see. I'm praying about that one. This is the year of the take over....

Yup, I wrote Lazarus and the soon to be released (for real this time!) Covenant.

www.oldgoldsoul.com

I also created the Alpha Renaissance, which is a collective of Alphas who are writers, dancers, singers, rappers, actors, sculptors, etc. We were formed:

1) To create networking opportunities for members of artistic professions.
2) To highlight artistic careers as a chosen path, not just an alternative, for collegiate Brothers.
3) To promote the arts and humanities within Alpha Phi Alpha
4) To discuss how we use our craft as a vehicle for social change.

Right now, we are making plans for an informal one and a half day "conference" in the summer of 08 in DC, to coincide with the Centennial Celebration for the AKAs. (We figured many of us would be in town anyway)

We are also planning The Alpha Song Project, which will collect lyrics of various Alpha songs through the years. Our last songbook (to my knowledge) was produced in 1948, and we'd like to preserve those songs and catalog our local and regional lyrical traditions that have evolved since that time.

Sen,

Good deal Bruh. I have Bruhs from my chapter who live in D.C., so, I'll probably be out there when the AkAs hit the city anyway.
I'm going to check your book out Bruh. I support writers, and artist no matter what their endeavor.

I can't wait for it to drop, so I can buy it. I've told everyone I know to be on the lookout for it, too. It's a bestseller, I just know it. I'm proud of you. Congrats and many blessings for a prosperous project. Don't forget about us little people when you blow up.
