That's the thing, though -- the cats have special powers and made it snow a lot, so it's almost impossible to drive anywhere and many places are closed. That means they win -- the warm people are home and the heat is turned up. See, it's all part of their evil plot.

Good thing that I'm a dog person who only associates with other dog people.

Why do humans refer to themselves as "(insert item) person/people?" As if owning a dog, Ford vehicle, or Chia Pet is their defining trait.

I don't know why people do that -- I think many people just like to define themselves somehow. Also, it seems like saying you're a cat person implies that you don't like dogs, doesn't it?

Eh, I have cats and a dog, so I guess I'm crazy either way.

I actually kind of think it just might work. I watched some of the behind the scenes footage and they have a really good cast. And while some are disillusioned by it all now, I think there's a whole generation of young people who while find it very appealing and may even start to get into liking Broadway because of it. I mean it IS Legally Blonde afterall.

I loved the movie, but this might be too much even for me.
I loved the movie, but this is really hard for me to imagine as a musical.

I can already imagine some of the songs...

One will be about Elle getting dumped by Warren
One will be about Elle trying to convince her parents, advisor to let her apply to law school
Another will be about the frigid people at Harvard
And one will be about her sorority sister be on trial for murder.

LOL

I'm going !!!! I'll let y'all know if it's good or just really really bad... I hope it's not too campy or cheesy, I know it could lean in that direction. But I love the movie so much.. ( I own the Elle Woods Barbie) that I just HAD to get tix. when I passed the theatre with the Marquee lit up with the sign for it.

"Legally Blonde" official B'way opening: April 29. (It's been in previews in NYC for several weeks.)

"The producers of Legally Blonde, The Musical, based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture, announced today that the musical will officially open at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway) on Sunday, April 29, 2007."

Ditto!

It's like High School Musical on Ice. I'm excited for the sequel, but I wouldn't go see it on ice if you paid me. Okay, well maybe if you paid me...

According to this article

http://www.nysun.com/article/53271

the composer and lyricist did some "field work" at the KKG house at USC (California). They themselves went to a university much closer to the Atlantic coast.

They've been writing and testing a lot of these movies-turned-into-musicals in Seattle, with mixed results. Hairspray was great, and I heard the Wedding Singer was good, but I also saw a couple shows here that they were trying to get to Broadway that left a lot to be desired.

For every new, creative, modern show like Wicked, there are a lot of "Mehhh"s.

I saw it back in February,I don't want to say too much... but I will say it was absolutely HILARIOUS.
It's def. not "classic" broadway or anything... but I throughly enjoyed the time I spent watching it.
They made some changes to the story (of course) which i think actually made the story more believeable.

Has anyone heard the music yet ?? Because I just can't get OHMIGOD OHMIGOD YOUGUYS out of my head.
