:P So does anybody really care?
Sorry, not trying to be a dick, hope you guys get some cash, although your time might be better spent cheering for your team, not some phone company!

^^haha, no I don't think anybody really cares. Is it really that hard to get SAE or Acacia put on TV? Sheesh. Run behind a camera and hold up a sign.
I'm well aware of "The Play"......I didn't know they called the Stanford/Cal game "The Big Game."

Therein lies the beauty
We get to attend the game on their dime with full encouragement to run amok for our team. The more outrageous fans we are the better our odds of taking the prize. Show your team love for money... it's a beautiful thing.

And on any given Saturday, there's some sort of "Big Game" in college football.
Good luck, but I really doubt that you're going to "get rich".
If that company had that much money to make you rich, they'd be buying advertising spots and space within the stadium.

I get to attend all of our games on my parent's dime, party as hard as possible, and generally show my team love.......because I like our football team.

Based on having attended Big Games (i.e. Cal v. Stanford) before, and with all due respect, most of the folk in Strawberry Canyon are going to think y'all are a bunch of yahoos. And not in a good, "Oh those crazy fraternity kids and their wacky antics" way. More like "WTF? Watch the damn game!"

If your sign is picked up, how much money are you going to get? I hope it's a large some if you're going to spend this much time on it.

True. However, college football sports writers have referred to the Cal v. Stanford game as "The Big Game" nationally for years. My understanding is as far back (maybe before) as the 1920s. Back when Stanford was coached by Pop Warner.

Oh come on...
The booty is in the thousands. That's all I'm going to say and really, it's good fun. We'd be at the game living it up anyway so where's the harm? If someone told you to go and do something that you'd be doing anyway and offered to give you money for it would you turn that down because you're some kind of puritan? Doubtful.
It's fun and it's potentially lucrative. Where's the disconnect?

Huh, I'm glad I wasn't the only one not to know what The Big Game was, but I've heard of that phone number. It's supposed to be an alternative to the dollar or two that you get charged when you call 411, you just listen to an ad or something.

Or better yet...you can skip 411 altogether and use A PHONE BOOK or if it's a faraway number, THE INTRAWEB.

I don't think Cal-Stanford will be on here. I'll be watching the ACC championship.

Sorry, the big game up this way is Umass vs UNH. This is the first time I will willingly watch a football game.
Speaking of football I had the strangest dream last night...I dreamt I was at a huge football game and the teams playing were Bama vs. FSU. Don't ask, don't know how or why I dreamt it.
Go minutemen!
