2006-2007 College Basketball-March Madness is coming soon!
As we all seemed to have had a good time with NCAA football, I thought a Basketball thread was in order.
And as I am starting it, I thought I would start it ( soon to end I already know ) with Div III starting poll. Any questions why, just look at my sig line.

UPS, in 1979, won Div II!
And now back to Div I:

Well, since you started the thread.....
Nebraska Upsets #20 Creighton!!!!
I watched this game online, and let me tell you, it was fantastic!!!

Nebraska hadn't beat their in-state rivals in a regular season game in eight years, and for brand new coach Doc Sadler to do it in his only second regular season game, and with a very limited injury-riddled bench says tons - the future looks very bright for Nebraska Basketball.
Now lets hope Nebraska can keep providing the full house that was at the Bob tonight for the rest of the season and hope the Doc keeps his team this way throughout the conference...

Thats hilarious man. Nebraska upsetting Creighton. Thats like saying that Michigan upset MAC west champion Central Michigan in college football.

Nebraska hasn't had a good basketball program in recent memory, atleast the last 5 years. Upsetting a Top 20 team is an accomplishment. You can't compare College Basketball to College Football.....it is not the same.

You know it's coming...wait for it...
GO BIG BLUE!!!!
Yes, I do feel much better now. Thank heavens for ESPN networks airing the Maui tournament. I was going through some serious basketball withdrawal.

I so tried to get out to Maui this year but the UK tickets sold out in hours. And now, dang it if I'm not stuck at work and missing the first half telecast of the Memphis game. At least I can streamline the UK Radio Network. (And we should be in the championship! #$%@ UCLA!)
GO CATS!

[/quoteDAMN YOU'ALL BEAT ME TO IT!! THE CATS ALWAYS ARE NO 1!! and will always be my reason for sunday and monday larengitis (sp) WE ALL HATE DUKE, TENNESSEE AND INDIANA..AND BIG BLUE WILL ALWAYS COME OUT ON TOP. But as a UK alum, watching GLORY ROAD...and having been lucky enough to watch Rupp's final games --it was a bit of an eye opener...glad we made it thru those days and are the famous Wildcats which make basketball not just a sport but a way of life..you change wedding plans, skip meals, wear all your "lucky" anti jinx clothes--(for me, Feb and Mar I wear all my UK jerseys backwards)until the Final Four!!
2007 is gonna be our year again!!
