I haven't seen the movie yet. So clearly I don't know if he can pull off a "Bond", but I've seen him in a couple of movies, and he isn't a bad actor.

I kept my tradition going on close to 25 years and watched the latest James Bond film in the theaters opening day. Four words...

JAMES BOND IS BACK!!!!

And opening up a can of whoop ass on the bad guys, wherever they may be.

For once, a James Bond film that doesn't rely on Q Branch to save the world!

I still haven't formed my opinion on Daniel Craig as Bond - he's very different. The film was entertaining though.

As far as the Venetian house - no, they wouldn't have destroyed a patrician house on the Grand Canal. It was done at Pinewood Studios (says IMDB). Also, that's the first time they've let a personal yacht sail on the Grand Canal between the Rialto and Accademia bridges in several hundred years. Fun stuff.

Overall I really enjoyed Casino Royale, however I too thought the movie was going to end about three times before it actually did. I don't really have an opinion yet on Daniel Craig as the new Bond (other than he's really hot)... I still think Connery and Brosnan are the best.

Saw it on Friday and really enjoyed it. New Bond is a beautiful example of the male physique, to say the least. And I thought it was generally well-acted, and the locations were great. I want to go to Montenegro.

Granted the story had some large holes, but overall I enjoyed it.

And there was the typical eye candy for the boys, my hubbie loooooved Eva Green.

For those of you who have already seen Casino Royale: Is it really as good or better than Goldfinger, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, or Live and Let Die?

In my not-so-humble opinion as a rabid James Bond fan, it's on par with Goldfinger and OHMSS, but won't beat the classics.

I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm looking forward to it. I've heard nothing but good reviews of the movie and many are saying it is the best Bond Film ever.

Its a good movie, but its not very Bond. Action is fairly limited, he kills a bunch of people (not very Bond, you rarely see people killed), and he only has sex with one woman in the movie. It is good though, but def not the best Bond ever.

The Bond of today is quite a bit different than the Bond of the 60s. Back then, he smoked like a chimney, drank like a fish, and screwed any female for Queen and Country. And he still managed to save the world from megalomaniac villains trying to hold the world hostage - without getting a hangover of titanic proportions or the dreaded atomic c*ck-rot!

Today, 007 doesn't smoke, drinks in moderation, and usually beds down with one woman per film - any more women he beds usually becomes the Obligatory Sacrificial Lamb and gets killed off.

Saw it last night.

I liked it. My fav parts were the opening and closing scenes. Waaaaay better than those cheesy trailers in the theater a year ago made it look.

He was a good Bond. Entertaining. He has a nice body but an ugly face.
