1. Where do you/did you go to school?
Oglethorpe University
2. How many Sororities and Fraternities are there on your campus?
3 Sororities-Chi Omega, Tri Sigma, Alpha Sigma Tau
4 Fraternities-KA, SAE, Chi Phi, Delta Sigma Phi
3. Which Fraternities/Sororities do you affiliate with most?
There is a general rivalry between the sororities. Chi Omega is more established and we always make numbers, whereas the other too struggle. We don't really affiliate ourselves with any fraternity in particular, because it is a really small school. I generally hang out with the KAs where I am a little sister.
4. What do you think our reputation is like on your campus?!?!
Chi Omega has always had an outstanding reputation on campus, because we are the largest and continually win events. However, we have gotten a reputation for being wild party girls, which we are trying to work on.

Hey RedHotChiO,
Where is your school located. The names sounds familiar; is it a private lutheran school.

hootie-You have probably found this out by now since your question was posted months ago but Oglethorpe is a private college in Atlanta. Fairly small (a little over 1000 undergrads) I'm not sure of the religous affiliation if any.

Heather is right. Oglethorpe is in Atlanta. We have no religious affiliation, although I believe that Oglethorpe was originally started as a presbyterian school. Sorry I never replied. I wasn't really keeping up with the message boards.

University of Oklahoma (Yay Sooners!) Epsilon Alpha Our House
There are 11 sororities here.
I'm not sure which houses we affiliate with the most (probably Beta) because we have functions and activities with most of them every year.
We have an awesome reputation here!!! We are one of the "Top 5" houses and have 87 new Hooties this fall!!! We are also the top house in scholarship and just set a new OU Greek GPA record! I am so proud of us!

Ok, here goes:
1. Lambda Delta Chapter, Kent State University!!!!!!!
2. Sororities: Chi O, Delta Gamma, Alpha Phi, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Zeta, Tri-Sigma, Phi Gamma Pi (a local, which was once very active but I do not think exist anymore.) Fraternities: Delta Tau Delta, Sigma Chi, SAE, Theta Chi, DU, Phi Kappa Tau, TKE, Sig Ep, Phi Delt, Delta Chi, Sigma Nu, Sigma Tau Gamma, ATO, AEPi, Phi Sig, and I think that is it.
3. We went through phases when I was there....we always hung out with the 3 top frats (Delt, SX, SAE) but there was a VERY strong Phi Delt contingent. We had a really heavy SAE phase in which I was one of the worst groupies of all!!!!!! But those were really fun times. As for the sororities, there was always a pretty intense rivalry (ok, vile hatred) between us and Alpha Phi. There was a sort of friendly rivalry between us and DG, but for the most part we got along with them well....our friendship centered around a big house that was all Chi Os and DGs living together. I personally was not a big DG girl, I was rather disliked at that house because I had a propensity for (ahem) dating guys who used to date DGs who weren't quite....(ahem) done with them yet (my husband being one of them!!!!!)
4. When I was in school, the top 3 were us, DG and Alpha Phi. Everyone had a different opinion as to which one was THE best, we all pretty much were equal. We all 3 were pretty much thought of as having all the beautiful girls with money. But the XOs were thought of as the nicer girls, cooler and more laid back than the others. The guys actually LIKED us as people and not just as potential scores.

1. Where do you/did you go to school?
University of Louisville
2. How many Sororities and Fraternities are there on your campus?
6 sororities, 11 fraternities---
Chi Omega, Delta Zeta, Sigma Kappa, Kappa Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Pi Beta Phi
Phi Kappa Tau, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Delta Upsilon, Sigma Chi, Beta Theta Pi, Pi Kappa Alpha, Triangle, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Lambda Chi Alpha, Kappa Sigma
3. Which Fraternities/Sororities do you affiliate with most?
Well, since our sister sorority at the present moment is Delta Zeta.......they are sweeties! The majority of us hang out with Phi Taus, TKE's, SAE's and the Sigma Chi's
4. What do you think our reputation is like on your campus?!?!
Alot of guys say that we have the most pretty women, and we are very competitive. We win almost every fraternity week, and we do SO MUCH for the community. I would say that we are #1 on our campus hands down....hehehe
Of course, I am kinda partial....lol

Just Thought You'd Like To Know!
I'm not a Chi Omega, so I'm sorry to 'crash' your thread, but I want to let you know that your chapter at Clemson University has a great reputation. Two sisters live in my building, and they are absolute sweeties! I actually know girls in five Chi Omega chapters here in South Carolina and they're all top notch! I'm a ZTA here at Clemson, and we have a joint crush party with Chi O every fall...let's just say the girl-guy ratio is DEFINITELY in our favor on those nights. Last year it was absolutely PACKED with guys - and we had so much fun! Thanks for letting me put my two cents in our your board, and congrats on such great sisterhood!

Well, I don't think i've answered this thread yet..and since i'm at work and procrastinating studying..why the heck not
1. Where do you/did you go to school?
University of New Mexico
2. How many Sororities and Fraternities are there on your campus?
4 sororities- Chi Omega, Pi Beta Phi, Alpha Chi Omega, Kappa Kappa Gamma
10 fraternities-Kappa Sigma, Sigma Chi(Currently suspended charter until 1/02), Fiji, Lambda Chi Alpha, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Phi Delta Theta, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Lambda Theta Phi & Omega Delta Phi
3. Which Fraternities/Sororities do you affiliate with most?
We basically are all over the place, at one point when I was an active we had someone promised/engaged/lavaliered by a guy from every house..Also, in the past year, all the fraternities that HAD sweethearts, were all Chi-O's..I was mostly a kappa sig/fiji/pike girl..most of the girls are now fiji/sae/sig ep I think..
As for sororities..we all had a bit of a rivalry, but us and Pi Phi got along the best..
4. What do you think our reputation is like on your campus?!?!
Chi Omegas are definately respected, the currently student body president is a Chi-O, along with other members of the student senate..we were the only chapter during recruitment this year that made quota PLUS, and generally we win a lot of awards and whatnot...

Freshman, Tau Theta chapter at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo
2 fraternities on campus, Pikes and Fijis, 4 soroities chi omega, alpha chi omega, delta gamme and alpha phi
we usually hang out with the pikes, but there is another college, Westminster about 2 blocks away and they have six fraternities, Delta Tau Delta, KA, SAE, Sig Chi, Phi Delts and the Beta's, and we hang out there a lot, with all of them.
OUr reputation on campus is Definitley the classy girls on campus. our house is the most diverse, from the partier to the athletes but we always carry ourselves well. Just today, valentines day, the pikes dropped off a valentine to us and in it , they said " love may be blind, but we are not, we can see that the ladies of Chi Omega are the most Loving, Honest and Respectable girls on campus". How sweet!!
Our house had the most COB's after rush this year, because even after rush the independent girls could see that we are the best!
