i've seen themmade for NPC and IFC (specfically, ive seen GPhiB and TKE),but ive never seen members wear them before. doesnt mean they dont, since i dont associate/party with any NPC/IFC members.
so yes, perhaps tikis are more an NPHC/multicultural thing.

In the Seventies I wore a dashiki. Does that count? I don't know if it was multicultural, but it certainly was multicolored (make that "is". I still have it.)
Sick, huh?

Do you have any pictures of you with your sisters wearing them that you could post on here? The only ones that I saw were on Migente and you can't right click and get picture properties on Migente.

In regard to them being like lavaliers, yes and no... they're generally about 3-4 inches tall. To answer the original question, though, I've seen them primarily for NPHC and cultural/multicultural greek orgs.

We have two greek stores that I know of in Houston who's greek mechandise is 98% NPHC and I've seen them in those stores. Some vendors will sell them at our regional and national meetings. I have one that I got at one of the greek stores. I'll ususlly wear it to a greek party / step show.

They exist for APO. I have a few in my collection and have given them out to new Brothers as gifts.

I received an AKA tiki as a crossing gift, but I've only worn it once. I'll give it some more wear this summer.

I have seen tikis, but have never worn one. Maybe it's something I may look for at Boule.
