It actually is a pretty difficult read. I've been wondering how such a book could be turned into a musical, but I guess it works. I also read another one of his books, Mirror Mirror, which is an even more difficult read.

I, FeeFee do solemnly swear to return the book to Soror Bamboozled once I'm done reading it.
I'm a fast reader.

The book is nothing like the musical. I think that the producers took many of the same liberties with the musical that the original writers of The Wizard of Oz movie took with Frank L. Baum's book. I'd say at least 40-50% of the people, relationships, and plot points were changed for the musical to make it more family friendly.

Wicked

I saw Wicked on Broadway just as Shoshanna Bean took over the part of Elphaba. Taye Diggs wife was the original star in that role. My cousin did lighting and staging for the original run on Broadway and he is still cool with the crew and cast. So I have seen it 2 times now. Great show and Shoshanna Bean can SANG....not sing...SANG.....if you get a chance to see it on Broadway with her you have got to go......

Again Shoshanna Bean....a voice like nothing we have seen in a long long time...
