So a new season is upon us.

Did anyone catch that gem last night? April honey, you didn't win not because you're African-American...it's because your interview sucked.

You treated your coaches like shit, you were totally unappreciative of those who actually were dumb enough to sponsor your no-talent ass, and you have no clue of what being on time means.

I love watching these tragic people.

Ditto. Her interview did suck.

The episode after, I sorta liked that girl because she wasn't the super skinny typical type and really had no problem with it but her mom did.

I really hated how April blamed her loss at the fact that she's not a Barbie. I LOL-ed at her interview question. So appropriate -- it's as if MTV told the judges to ask her that question!

The 2nd episode (the NC one) was originally aired last season but this was the first time I got to see the whole thing. I don't think I'd be able to handle a mother like that. Ditto on her curves. That's real confidence right there, and I thought that she still looked great in her swimsuit.

I hadn't seen this episode before either. I agree with you regarding the swimsuit. Also, I'm glad she loves her mom but will stick up for herself and not put up with the mom's snide remarks.

I was soooooo mad at that chick April. True lots of times women of color aren't viewed as highly or have a more difficult time succeeding simply b/c of skin color. However, she just had a terrible work ethic and was over confidant. Her singing and interview sucked, and she didn't speak well or carry herself w/grace and professionalism. When chicks like her claim that they are discriminated against it only makes others discount the complaints of legitimate victims of discrimination. I wanted to smack her.
