They did the roll call with chapter members standing as their chapter name was called - very emotional for me as our chapter is closed. And for the Omega Toast, the older alums stood on their chairs and lifted their toddies high! THAT's something you won't see again for a l-o-n-g time!

This is what they have always done at the FoundersDay celebrations here. But with only 3 people I can see how that might not work. We typically have a brunch buffet, speaker, basket raffle, some type of Foundation update, a collegiate/alumnae update, recognition of guests, toasts, grace, candlelighing and oath.

I'm bumping this thread, rather than starting a new one. I went to Founders Day today at the Berkeley house and it was awesome. We had probably 100-120 or so collegians and alums from San Francisco, Berkeley and Diablo Valley groups.
They honored quite a few 50-year members and even more awesome a 65-year member from the Berkeley chapter who told us about how things had changed since she was in college (for example, a year's tuition at UC Berkeley was then $27.50!).

Anyone else already go to a Founders Day or planning on going to one?

I did not make it this year but it was held at the Brookfield Zoo outside Chicago. Pretty neat venue!

Vanderbilt, Tennessee Tech, and the Nashville and Cookville, TN, alumnae chapters are celebrating Founders Day together on March 15th here in Nashville! We celebrated together last year and decided to continue the tradition

I attended Denver's Founders' Day celebration on the 8th. Beta Chi (University of Denver) also attended.

Our Huntsville Alumnae Association had a very successful Founders Day! We met for lunch at a restaurant in the plush new Bridge Street Towne Centre and had members of all ages joining us. We also decided to make a donation to the scholarship fund in memory of Lauren Burk, our DG at Auburn. This summer, we will travel over to Tuscumbia to tour Helen Keller's childhood home, Ivy Green, and see the live play, "The Miracle Worker."

Atlanta founders day was AMAZING! it was so interesting to see all of the different chapters--AnchorAlumna, they did roll call the same way, by calling out each chapter that was represented. It was really interesting to see, as there were girls there from places like Iowa, Colorado, and California! It was rather neat. There were also a few 50 year members, and they were precious.
