Just to add somethings to the convo.
I live in Marietta currently but I've lived in East Point, Atlanta(Cascade end), West Atlanta(West End), and Lithia Springs. Atlanta is a great city but with any city it has it's advantages and disadvantages. Crime is crime and I've felt pretty safe in all the areas that I've lived in except the West End area to be honest. Cobb county is a great place, it's safe and it's just far enough from the hussle and bussle of downtown. The Cobb school system, is pretty good from what I hear.
As others has said above, the men can be a little extra because the ratio here is bananas. But there are tons of things to do here which I love. I went to Atlantic Station this week-end and it's really nice, expensive but nice. The real estate in Atlanta is booming.
I plan on moving soon though because the city is just too saturated but it's cool for right now. I can't complain when I can shop at great places, eat at great places, and get my hair done at 6a.m. Plus the Greek life is decent too, I've had alot of great networking opportunities. Sorry so long but I hope I've helped.
