Economics is a Wondereful thing to use as a Barometer!

Rich Get Richer and The Poor Get Pooer. So, Lets "supsodize" the Poor?

No, Now, Lets Cut the Poor, raise Student Loan %s, cut Medicaid/Medicare for People who have carried this Country for so long and look for Retirement in the Sun Shine Days.

Allow Major Companys to Cut Off Pensions/Retirement and turn over to The Federal Govt. Oh, Us!

General Motors and Many Other Companys are "OUT SOURCING" and this is supposed to Be Good for the Working of America?

Do I get Pissed, You damn Bet You!

I am a Pro People and We The People are Getting Screwed!

Can you provide better solutions for us here? I'd love to hear them.
I think there are vast amounts of unnecessary spending by the government. The fat needs to be cut from the budget, not the bread and butter of the middle class, the children, the poor, and the elderly. It's about differences in where the priorities should be. I'd rather see my tax dollars going to the very things that they are cutting than to see them building a bridge to nowhere in Alaska, Haliburton contracts, sculpture parks and senators' expense accounts, to name a few.

In addition to the Congressmen trying to bring home bacon for their district, the bureaucrats also are contributors and experts in sabotaging budgets.

If any govt. tries to cut spending, the bureaucrats and depts. say "great - we'll do what you say." What they do, though, is announce upcoming cuts in the most loved and up front programs - like park hours, books for schools, senior centers, etc., or add user fees - that have lots of the public who will go on TV and cry if they have to pay a addl. dollar or leave the senior ctr. an hour earlier.

About two days after the TV show, the budget cuts are restored.
