No, I agree with you in some cases. Something else I forgot that our families do at school. There is an association at our school called Parents at Large Society (P.A.L.S.), kind of like a PTA or PTO, and every year they send out a letter right before Thanksgiving for a Christmas Bonus for the teachers. If any parent in the school wants to, they can make a donation for the Christmas Bonus of any kind and all the donations get put together and seperated equally among the teachers. Included with the Christmas Bonus we get the names (not the ammount) of the families that donated. It sounds a little impersonal, but it really is a good idea!!

I just see how they present themselves at school, and how the work gets handed in sometimes and get creeped out. Plus, some might be trying to posion me. Generally, unless I know the family (ie mother is a teacher, or volunteers at the school, or I know them from places like where I coach) I won't eat it.

This applies to my some of my friends too. Especially if you have a cat and it jumps all over the counter. Weirds me out. And I won't eat stuff from that person.

of course there are those kids, but those kids are not usually the ones who go out of there way to give something. they are usually the ones i get the dollar general gifts from. usually the homemade goodies come from really good kids and the goodies are moms tried and true recipes.

For those with some $ and thinking of doing coffee gift baskets, Neiman's has really fancy silver plated coffee scoops. They are very nice in person! A little bottle of coffee syrup goes good in that basket, too!
