I think we're going to see a matinee on Saturday. Yikes, that sounds like perfect "rugrat" timing. That might suck.

The husband's making me go to a birthday party for a coworker of his on Friday night and then a Ultimate Fight Club PPV party on Saturday night, so I'm making him take me to the late show on Sunday night. I hope there won't be as many kiddies at that show.

My friends and I left work a little early today to catch a 3:15 showing. We had to sit in the 3rd row and crane our necks the whole time because we got there after the previews started, but it was so worth it! HP4 is my favorite book, and now it is my favorite movie. It was awesome! And it did stay pretty true to the book. Of course they had to leave some things out, or else the movie would have been WAY too long, but I think pretty much everything important was kept in. I liked it much better than the 3rd movie! One weird thing, though, for me was that Sirius talking to Harry via the fireplace was not at ALL how I had pictured it! But... minor detail. Oh, another thing is that Dobby and Winky are completely missing from the movie. I liked how they did Voldemort, and he was pretty much how I pictured him. I might actually see it again with Mr. SSS, and sit further back so I can see better!

Just got back from seeing it about an hour ago. I really liked it and I didn't really miss anything that was left out. I'm also one of those who read it such a long time ago that I had forgotten a lot of it.

For some reason, I was thinking that Victor Krum was supposed to be some handsome hunk, but he wasn't.

I saw the Midnight showing of it. I really enjoyed the movie. There were a few people dressed up, but nothing crazy. When the lights went down, people started applauding, but then everyone got quiet and just watched the movie. Everyone was so into it. It was an enjoyable viewing expierence.

I did not like how they took the first like 10 chapters and made it into like 5 minutes. The first part just really fast for me, but that could just be because I have just started to reread the book. I know that they had to limit the material, but I wanted to see more Quidditch.

Voldemort looked like how I imagined he would. I loved the fact, that they kept what he would look like a secret for as long as they did. I didn't look that hard, but I didn't see any production pictures of him. So seeing him appear in the flesh was cool. The scene with Voldemort returning and the little battle with Harry was done well IMO.

But yeah, overall, it was the best in the series for me. There was humor (the bathtub scene with Moaning Myrtle), drama, and suspense.

Oh my gosh I sobbed!! I went with about 20 or so friends and my friend next to me was sobbing too. I mean I cry at movies all the time, and I remember crying at the end of this book too, so it's not surprising to me that I did at the movie.

I would just like to say that this was my favorite movie out of series so far. My favorite book out of the series is Prisoner of Azkaban. While they did leave out parts, who wouldn't when the book is over 700 pages, I think they did an EXCELLENT job leaving all the important parts in. I didn't leave the theater feeling like they were missing important parts as I did in Prisoner of Azkaban. Just a great all around great job they did with this one!!

Ok... someone help me out here. So I'm reading the Yahoo user reviews (yeah I know...) and all the people dissing the movie keep mentioning the fact that Rita Skeeter's animagus form wasn't revealed.

Didn't that not occur until the 5th book? I mean I remember them shoo-ing away a bug in the 4th book, but I don't remember that tidbit being revealed for sure until the 5th. It just seemed REALLY nitpicky.

I liked it. I felt like I was going through a Cliff Notes version of GOF in some parts. But good visuals and action sequences. Better acting on the boys' parts. (Awesome facial expressions.)

And Voldemort didn't look as scary as I imagined him to be. But it was still well done.

On a side note, I think we were sitting in front of people that had never read the books before. When Voldie removed Malfoy's mask in the graveyard, I heard a collective *GASP.* It was so funny.

ETA: Barty Crouch Jr. was a FREAK! The actor was awesome. Same goes for Mad-Eye. Loved the "gum under the table" scene.

No, Hermione figured it out at the end of book 4 and revealed it to Harry and Ron on the Hogwart's Express on the way home.

I saw it this morning... There were maybe 10 or 15 people in the theatre. Wow.

I LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely wonderful!!!!!

The way they did the Quidditch World Cup (the arena) was so impressive!

There were a couple of minor details that I missed (like Sirius not being in it very much and not placing as much emphasis on Harry's crush on Cho), but I was so pleased with it.

Fred and George's characters really stood out, I thought they were great.

I wished the scene with Voldemort had lasted longer, but it's understandable. And OMG, NO LUDO BAGMAN?!?!?

Did anyone else think that Dumbledore was much more "on edge" and kinda angry in this movie? I always imagine him as forceful, but never anything but gentle and kind. He just seemed very tough. *shrug*

I can't wait to see it again. It had me laughing a lot (actually everyone in the theatre was cracking up).

I thought Dumbledore was also more harsh than usual. It was a striking difference. I thought maybe it was because he was genuinely anxious and concerned about the events going on. At the end, he was more gentle and caring again.

I didn't read the books but wasn't surprised to see Malfoy there at all.

At the end of this one, you don't feel the joyous victorious happy feeling, which makes it very different from the others. It was definitely more sad.

I really need to read the books because I was very confused at times and was asking my daughter questions and she got very irritated with me..lol. "You talk too much!"

I have tikets to see it Monday afternoon because of my husband's crazy work schedule. I'm excited because this will be the first time that I've seen a Harry Potter movie in Imax. Lets just hope that it live up to all the expectations I have. The one thing I'm not looking forward to seeing is the Death Eaters at the World Cup - they look like freaky KKK uniforms with skull masks.
