okay, sorry about the total lack of updates, even I was getting bored with my ramblings!

Spring Recruitment is going on this week and there are really only two houses I am serious about. Because I love hot tea, I'm going to call them Chamomille and Lady Grey.

I have to admit that I was leaning a little more towards Chamomille going in. I knew to keep my mind open and all that, but I couldn't help it! The first round was house tours and I LOVE Chamomille! They have a gorgeous house and the girls were spectacular. I asked one member who she decided to go Chamomille and she said when she was deciding, she felt like she could see herself in the house, sitting on the furniture in her pj's, etc. I thought that was a fabulous answer and when I compared the two houses, I felt the same way.

Round two however... I definately had more fun at Lady Grey. Even though I know it was my rusher's (? is that the right word for this girl?) job to show me around, I felt like she was going out of her way to introduce me to people. It felt amazing! All the time she was saying, "oh! have you met Susie?" or "I just have to introduce you to my Grand-Big!" I had a blast and was so comfortable! Chamomille's party was fun too, but conversation was a little strained. Maybe the girls I was with were having an off night - maybe I was having an off night! I don't know, but it didn't feel the same.

I'm invited to Lady Grey's next party - Pref Night - on Monday and I haven't heard anything from Chamomille yet. I have this sinking feeling I've been cut, but I don't want to jump to conclusions. At the same time, of course, I don't want to keep my hopes up.

All in all, I am having a BLAST! I definately didn't expect recruitment to be this much fun. Even if I don't end up getting any bids, I'm so glad I did it.

Talking

Good luck!

I went into rush thinking that I was not a sorority girl, and heck, it was my mom's 35 dollars anyway, right?

I too had a BLAST! And found my home! So I wish you the best of luck however things may turn out.

I think I know who Lady Grey is... at least, I'm pretty sure! Keep us posted on how your rush turns out. I'm thinking about you!

Lady Grey was a blast last night! I love my hostess, she is about the sweetest thing ever and the ceremony was precious. Before last night, I had never noticed Lady Grey's pin before, and I have to say it is beautiful. Anyway, I was excited to be introduced to sisters I hadn't met before who told me they'd heard a lot of good things about me (yay!). And I was a little sad when it ended so early.
I haven't heard anything from Chamomille since Wednesday, but I'm still unclear on the way their recruitment was set up. I thought they would have a pref night tonight and that we would get invites for it last night, but my friend who is leaning very heavily towards Chamomille hasn't heard anything from them either (which suprises me as she is a freshman and knows many girls in the house already).
Anyway, bid day is tomorrow - keep your fingers crossed!

How wonderful that you had such a great time at Lady Grey! You're a great example of the kind of girl who has fun at any house because she keeps an open mind. Please let us know how bid day goes!
