Hi, this link is from an organization called "Get US Out of the United Nations," a campaign of the John Birch Society.

About the misue of vehicles donated by UNICEF. Nothing to do with UNICEF buying vehicles for the military
http://www.theinterim.com/2002/dec/02antilife.html
An editorial accusing the UNICEF of supporting abortion.
http://boortz.com/nuze/200501/01032005.html
Again, absolutely noting to do with UNICEF purchasing vehicles for the military.
As for http://www.getusout.org/artman/publish/article_71.shtml
It's editorial is all over the place. From accusing UNICEF of being a socialist organization, to it being in bed with WTO. If the writer believed that the WTO is a socialist organization, then that writer losses all credibility. By the way, I wonder if the writer know anything about the Bretton Wood institutions. If he does, he should know that the World Bank is an organizaton that is pushing the neo-liberal agenda (liberalism in the classical sense).

Guess what? The United Nations isn't an organization made up of only the friends of the United States. That's not part of its Charter. Nor is it a tool to forward the American political agenda.
You don't have to like the organization, but that argument isn't valid.
During the recent hurricane disasters, the UN offered us aid, and I believe we accepted it -- just as we offer aid to other nations, whether they follow our ideology or not.

I wouldn't disagree with that. Just while I was there this summer, part of their procurment department was indicted and a damning report on the "Oil for Food" scandal was issued.
The fact is, it seems to me, that the place runs like a third world country -- it is remarkably political and inefficient.
But just because it doesn't react exactly as the United States wants doesn't make it an enemy. The UN is supposed to give voice to ALL of its members -- not just the ones we like.

Do you think the world would be safer if the US pulled out of all overseas bases and commitments?
I think the Islamic Terrorists - like the Communists earlier - define 'peace' as an absence of opposition.

I can't remember a time when the world felt safe -- at least not during my lifetime.
