"Sandra Dee" is probably a name "Barbara Ann" or "Peggy Sue"... not saying that "Dee" is supposed to be her last name - it's probably a middle, if not a two-part first name.

I'm confused by your post, but Sandra Dee was a real person -- a model and actress -- who actually looked a fair amount like Olivia Newton-John. She was one of the real heart throbs of the sixties and was in the infamous "Gidget" movies among others. She always played the virginal "goody goody," thus the song in Grease.

I LOVED the original "Gidget" movie!!!! To this day if I happen to see it on, I will have to drop everything and sit and watch it.

Moondoggie was a dreamboat!!! Hehehe.

I loved the remake of gidget tv show in the 80s when almonzo wilder ( Little house on the pariere) was moondoggie

How weird is it that it took them almost a month to realize he was missing? And then waited 5 more days to start their own search? Is it normal to leave personal belongings in a car when you're going on a boat? Maybe it's just me, but I would like to keep my purse (that usually contains my personal belongings) with me...
