Walking away and during the 'night after' at the West End, I experienced a far lower amount of smack talk than I'm accustomed to..

Could it be because a college freshman was 13 the last time Texas won?

Not sure...

All I know is that OU doth suck mightily right now.

-- Keep in mind, all of those players are Freshmen. Next year it'll be a different team...

Now, if they could just recruit decent linemen.

As for Baylor.... they'll finish ahead of O-State, no question. Things are not as they should be.

I think it's because it wasn't even expected to be a fair match-up. EVERYONE went into it knowing that Texas was going to win. No one was really surprised.

I think last year was a MUCH better match-up. If they had managed to pull that one off, then I think there would have been much more smack-talking.

I was in Dallas this weekend and hung out with a BUNCH of Longhorn fans on Friday night at Milos..... It was interesting.

AlphaSigOU...... If my Aggies are gonna stand a chance to take care of them for ya'll, they are SERIOUSLY gonna have to kick it into high gear really quick.

So was I.

Congrats on beating a team that will likely struggle against Baylor though!

By the way, what is this crap about this becoming a home and home? Will someone please take the crack away from the Presidents of the respective institutions?

i think the teams are demanding better seats and bigger capacity and more money to cover the cost of travel. i also hear that they are trying to bring texas tech and texas a&m to the cotton bowl during the state fair weekend as a replacement of texas-ou if they decide to split or just to bring in another game for the dallas economy.

What I heard was that they are considering having A&M/Tech always play the night before Texas/OU at the Cotton Bowl. Could easily be wrong, but it's just the rumor I heard.

Nah, just an attempt to minimize the horns' accomplishment

Just remember what happened during the last 5 years when the teams were on even footing...

That may have been why I didn't hear near as much post-game smack as usually occurs following a Texas W. I was expecting the usual cussing at, spitting at, wanting to start fights and experienced none.

That might be a result of the increase in ticket prices over the last few years though.

Oh man, I heard the tickets to BU-OU in Norman will be like $65!! And people at Baylor are complaining about tickets being $32! Start winning a few games and people complain about everything! It should be a great game.

$65 is just what they cost... and BU tickets will likely be in the southeast end-zone, so not the greatest seats in the house.

They're actually going to distribute evacuation plans at this game. We've definitely turned a corner.

No I mean 32 for our home games....that's dirt cheap....compared to everyone else's normal prices! Wow, that's crazy.

I was at that game. Heard a nice rumble, saw people running over to that side of the stadium, participated in an orderly evacuation...

Was a lot of fun.

$32? I need to make sure to go to the next away game. You can still buy tickets at the gate for Baylor, right?

This thread is a little dated but I just wanted to mention last time we had a game in Norman their fans were the most welcoming people I have ever met at an away game.

Parking Attendant: Where are you boys from?
Pi Kapps: Houston Sir.
Parking Attendant: Did yall drive all the way up here this morning?
Pi Kapps: Yes Sir.
Parking Attendant: Well seeing as how much yall have already paid to come cheer your team on, I don’t think it would be right for me to take any more money from yall, Welcome to Norman Oklahoma.

Now this might not seem like much to some but keep in mind people rent out parking spaces on their front lawns on game days in Norman for $20.00 a pop.
