Washington University in St. Louis (Missouri...duh!)
#16 School Runs Like Butter
#11 The Toughest To Get Into
#8 Best Campus Food
#6 Best Quality Of Life
#13 Dorms Like Palaces
ETA: We're also on the "Best of the Midwestern Colleges" list
Not too shabby...although I remember when we were top-ranked for food. I was always grossed out when I went to visit friends at public universities because their food was NASTY compared to ours!

The school that I am transferring to isn't on the lists, but the one I am transferring from is.
Professors Get Low Marks
Professors Make Themselves Scarce
Both are very true. I can think of two professors in my three years that I was there that were easy to find and willing to help outside of class.

No 'fun' list for Western Michigan. It did make the Best in the Mid-west list, though...

LOL I know this is a little off-topic, but this is what some anonymous people said about our student body:
UNCG is a big school with "many people from all walks of life, social/cultural backgrounds, etc. The university promotes cultural diversity and acceptance and tolerance of people of different backgrounds." One student reports, "One minute you see a bunch of music majors talking about how much Bach has affected their life and the next minute, you see a bunch of sorority girls discussing the Gap. Mainly, I have observed that sorority girls stick together, jocks stick together, etc." Two in three students are female, and there is a widespread perception that "many of the males are either married or gay. The straight young chill male is a minority here." As at many state schools, "about half of the students at UNCG came here to party. The other half consists of hard working students who are generally frustrated with the slacker mentality in a lot of our classes. This is less of a problem once you get past the intro-level lectures."
To me, this does not seem like a well thought-out response and certainly not worthy of being on the Princeton Review site... but oh well. I've got to go talk about the Gap now and look for that elusive straight young CHILL male.

"The Elon 'bubble' is a bit like Beverly Hills: 90210, only in North Carolina," jokes one student. "It's not uncommon to see kids driving around in BMWs and Lexuses" or donning wardrobes that leave some feeling that they are "living in an Abercrombie and Fitch" catalog. While "diversity may be lacking," there's a "feeling of camaraderie" at Elon that everyone notices "when they visit for the first time." "I guess it's just that good southern hospitality kicking in!" exclaims an undergrad. Much of Elon's student body hails from mid-atlantic and southern states, though some come from "as far away as Japan and Yugoslavia." Students describe their peers in a variety of ways, ranging from "very religious" to "liberally biased." "Most are also smart and come from good families," according to one student, while another adds, "courteous, intelligent, caring, and generous" to the list of appropriate adjectives describing his classmates. And, without question, the student population is "very Greek oriented."
Every time I read this I crack up I <3 my school

#19 Best College Library Academics
#10 Best College Newspaper Extracurriculars: Our paper is not worthy to be toliet paper. Biased and not worth reading. The crossword is about the only thing good on it.
#16 Lots Of Beer Parties: See Party school
#19 Lots Of Hard Liquor Parties: See Party School
#14 Party Schools Parties: I find this sort of hard to believe. We were rated #5 in Playboy in 2002, and #1 in Stuff this past month...
#19 Reefer Madness Parties. Yeah, how about a cocaine ranking.

I was pretty surprised by our rankins, too. I thought we might be ranked way higher for party schools, considering we were ranked #4 by Princeton Review last year.
I agree about the DA.. some of it is interesting, but the Opinion page is 100% liberal opinions. It was horrible around election time last year.

MIT: #1 toughest to get into.
Also: Best in the Northeast, Diverse Student Population, Their Students Never Stop Studying. I can believe this last one: During my admissions interview, I was told: "Classes, sleep, friends... pick any two." I picked classes, friends, and lots of coffee
