It comes down to a lot of factors, but on a lot of campuses, you get what you pay for. A lot of the best advisors, who stay in the profession and develop expertise move to other Greek Life positions at bigger schools that pay more money. The majority of Greek Life positions are held by people fresh out of grad school. If universities don't compensate well, provide funding for programming and development of the Greek community and other resources (office space, support staff, etc.) then it winds up being a constant revolving door.

Tom, do you know what the rush numbers have been like for women? If they're consistently large it's time to add another sorority chapter, not take fraternities away. I don't understand why she wouldn't want to do that if her group is one of the ones that would be at the top of the list to come back.
33girl at one time there was parity. or pretty much so with 4 NPC and 1 Local=5 and 6 NIC.

ADP and a Local left, and KD tried and lasted 2 years and were gone. Sad as it might be.

But, the situation now is that None of the Sororitys are making quota. So, is the quota to high? I dont know.

If you as a PNM came to Campus and werent really happy with Your chioces, what would you do? Probably not join? If you did not fit into that or any GLOs mold, You would not join.

All of the NPCs are housed and full with outside members.

I presented My idea of adding more even one at a time and working with them to help strenghten them, I was told absolutly not as none made quota. Isnt that what a free market is about.

ADP left as they were not The Elite Type Girls, but We liked them. The Local We had a chance to help start had a chance to affiliate with PM and said No, we are big enough. Why KD left, I never understood?

There has to be an answer when the 4 th largest State U. has less Greek Organizations than the rest.

It is the closest to A major Metro Area than the rest of the lesser student enrollement Un.

I just dont know!

All I know that it is sad!

I think you mean total not quota. But if total hasn't been met for years that would be reason to consider lowering it. Although I don't see that happening there.

Also, just from what I know about our chapter there, they have been there a LONG time and have lots of old traditions...not to mention tons of alums...it can be hard for a new sorority to compete with that. It's easier for guys to start something new than girls, IMO.
