That is SOOO smart!!! Let's face it, you go to college for an education, not (to quote my beloved late dad) major in Panhel and minor in IFC! In fact, making quota during Formal Recruitment is always my goal, so everyone can work on their studies!!

Recruitment starts tommorow...I can't wait!!!! I will post regularly through the week.

In the meantime....my thoughts are with everyone who is gearing up for Katrina. I feel terribly about what's about to happen and just hope it doesn't end up being a worst-case scenario outcome!

Hey everyone!

I just got home from ice waters and wanted to update you all on the events of the night.

I visited the following houses:

arabesque
pique
jete
tendu

I really loved arabesque. They seem to offer the whole package in terms of the sorority experience and I would love to be invited to this group!

The girls at pique were really nice. I didn't meet as many girls as in the other groups, but I had some good conversations, a definite plus!

Jete was so much fun. I met so many cool girls tonight, definitely a favorite.

Tendu were really down to earth and genuine. I liked meeting them, but not sure how I would fit in the group.

Tommorow night will be nice cos I'll get to meet with everyone again. Thursday night is when cuts begin, so we'll see what happens!

Thanks for your support and will keep everyone posted

Here's to hoping you end up in the house that fits you best.

philanthropy

I started out being pretty nervous about recruitment but am beginning to really appreciate it. It's been so great to meet so many new people (it's made me happier in general) and I now really understand how wonderful it would be to become a member. Having said that.....last night was another successful round!

I still really enjoy arabesque. It feels like a match and so I think my face especially brightens when I visit them.

I'm liking pique more and more as I get to know them. I got a nice sense of what they were all about last night.

I'm not sure I am meant to be with Jete but I enjoyed the experience with them, and appreciated learning about their philanthropy.

I also got a better sense of tendu tonight. I am hoping I get to visit them again cos I'm really enjoying getting to know the girls.

Today cuts begin. As much as it's not fun to go through this part of recruitment, cuts just mean one more step to finding the right match, so I'm just going to take it as it comes and enjoy the day's events.

Cuts

My experience with cuts was that the chapters that cut me were always chapters that I was uncertain about. Hopefully any cuts you experience will also reinforce your preferences. Best of luck!

I got invited back to pique and left happy with the experience. The heavy cutting was a bit of a shocker but I'm still happy with how things are going.
