Ok, I don't even know what sororities are at your school so, I am going to pick a favorite. (I like to pick favorites, don't take it seriously, I just like to pick one for my own entertainment)
I am going to go with Seth. Isn't that the guy from Gilmore Girls. I love the Gilmore Girls so that is why I am picking seth.
Yea Seth.
Ok Here is my Seth Song
S - E - T - H
Seth is the sorority for me, boom boom.
S - E - T - H
Seth has the loyalty, boom boom.
S is for sisterhood
E is for everyday
T is for true friendship
H is for happiness
Boom boom boom boom
HAVE A GREAT TIME

I had a scare today. I'm going to have to have surgery on my neck because I have a branchial cleft cyst, and they were talking about maybe having me miss rush and have surgery instead! Luckily we came to the conclusion that it can wait without any major risk and I'm getting it done over winter break instead.
Also, thanks for all your great comments guys!! I really can't wait to get out there and start! Only a week left!

Good luck with recruitment! One of our sisters at EWU transferred to WSU this year and she says that rush is going to be chaotic! Good luck finding a home. And if AOII turns out to be your home, that's okay too!

Good Luck with recruitment. Sorry to hear about the neck thing, I will say a prayer for you. Glad to hear that they feel that it is safe to wait till winter break. That should be a good sign!
Can't wait to follow your experience...
***Side Note***
Who loves Gilmore Girls? I have loved it from the beginning. I was so mad that the WB wasn't included in the local cable system. When ABC Fam started running reruns, I got to catch up a little with what was going on with them. Needless to say that when we moved and didn't have cable it wasn't that big a deal because we could get the WB without cable. Now we are getting Direct Tv and that was one of the required stations!
***End of Side Note***

The weather has been steadily in the 90's, and will likely hold into the next week. It was still 80 or so degrees at about eight last night. There hasn't been any wind, but with the dust and crud off the fields that is almost a blessing. Just remember Wazzu is hilly, and to wear comfortable shoes since you'll be hoofing it from the dorms to the chapter houses.
I keep having to edit this because my brain isn't with it yet

Yeah, it's definitely been hot on the east side! I would definitely comfy shoes and something that you won't sweat through. Lately you go outside and you just start sweating. It's real gross!

Okay, I bought my pref dress today! I love it! It's a bit more revealing than what I've read about on the what to wear-type threads, but judging by the school I'm going to I doubt that will really be a big deal. It's not "clubby" or anything.
I leave for school on Saturday night and I check into my dorm Sunday morning. Rush starts on Tuesday, so keep reading! Thanks everybody!!!

I'm assuming you're taking I90 to WA26 from the west? Just an FYI on the roads. There is no where to stop for gas between Othello & Colfax at night. Also the only bathroom is a portapotty/outhouse next to a grain elevator. Trust me, stop in Othello to get gas and use the bathroom (or at the station that will be on your left at the junction of 395 & 26). There is really nothing on 26 other than farms, and cell service is really dependent on your carrier. 26 is a two lane road, and passing can be a real hassle. The harvest is coming to an end, so if you're out early in the morning beware of farm equipment on the road. Whatever you do, DO NOT speed in Colfax. It is 25 all through town and they mean it. I've seen so many people pulled over for speeding for doing 30.
Lastly, go eat at the Old European Sunday morning. They open at six and are located on South Grand. You saw the reaction it got in the other thread, the food is awesome.

Today was the 1st day of recruitment! It was super long and super tiring. I loved it though! Recruitment here is so casual compared to what I've heard on here from everyone else. I mean, we can wear whatever we want. Basically everyone wore flip flops and a lot of people wore shorts. I loved all the houses except for a few. I don't have my match up list to know which sorority has which code name, so I can't really give details. We go back to a maximum of 9 houses tomorrow, so we had to cut 4. There are a few that I really like right now. A girl that I was really good friends with a dance camp when I was about 15 was one of my rushers at one chapter. It was all so exciting! I'll definitely get my code names for tomorrow so I can give you more detail.
