Does DZ have a clause that says you surrender your DZ membership if you join a local sorority?

Edited to add that this may sound like an odd point of view, but I think that if they could form a local sorority and participate in Greek things at their school, it might go a long way towards lessening whatever animosity they feel towards DZ. They've been able to have a college Greek experience and won't look at DZ as this thing that hamstrung (is that a word?) them from having any fun. I think a lot of times the worst part of chapter closings is the fact that you don't just feel separated from your national, you feel that way on campus as well. That can be very hard especially if you're an underclassman and have to watch others having fun for 4 years.

You can sometimes form an alum chapter of your sorority or participate in one nearby, but that doesn't sound like it would happen here.

I don't remember reading anything exactly but they frown upon it. once a dz, always a dz. we are able to join honors and professional groups. i'll look into this tho.
