It's the nickname for the house and it was featured in our Quarterly magazine. Here is a link to a pic of it:

Yes, if you look at pictures of the Gamma Alpha house, it looks a lot like a tiered wedding cake! Hence, the wedding-cake house.
Dee--Gamma Alpha at UGA would be another of my pics too. Them, Auburn, or 'Bama. But Delta Sigma still wins for me!

I agree with your basic sentiment, but my Sorors from big chapters don't suck.

For me it would have to be FIU as that is one of our most active and involved chapters plus the members seem to be incredibly sweet. I would also wonder what it would be like to be a member of our Alpha chapter at NYU. I fell in love with their website, and they seem to have a strong prescence on campus.

Me too!
Although I also wouldn't mind living in The Wedding Cake house that Dee mentioned. Not having had houses at my school, I would love to go to a school that had a big house just to see what it's like.

<<I would join our chapter at the University of Florida. They win a bunch of awards and they're a top chapter at UF. Plus, UF is such a fun school and I always enjoyed it when I visited!>>
Whoo hoo.. ZTAngel, that's where I went to school! UF really was a fun school. When they gave me my diploma, I said, "Oh, no thank you, not yet!"

Kappa Omega at the University of Kentucky. Gotta love an AOII chapter house on Rose Street (and within spitting distance from Memorial Coliseum)!

i would choose either of our chapters at the university of georgia or samford university(which is in birmingham, al). they seem to swap back and forth the top collegiate award handed out at our convention.

I would say Omicron at University of Tennessee or Lambda Sigma at University of Georgia.
If we were going to time travel I would agree Alpha (Barnard) chapter in the early 1900s or Pi (Sophie Newcomb @ Tulane)chapter in the same era.

WOW! Thanks Silver!
I'm not sure which chapter I would pick. I think perhaps a smaller chapter would be fun to see how different but the same it is to be an AOII. I don't know any smaller chapter names off the top of my head. However, I would choose something totally different like Sigma Chapter at Berkley or Tau Chapter at Minnesota. Of course I would totally love to be with the ladies of Omicron (UTK), Alpha Delta (BAMA), Lambda Sigma (UGA), Gamma Omicron(UF), Nu Omicron (Vandy) & Delta Delta (Auburn)! I love my SEC Chapters
