Isnt blackmail about secret shit? How do you blackmail someone with public shit.

She wont ever be famous or have a lot of money coming from a school named after a number. Famous-ass people come from schools with the word 'Academy' or some shit in them.

I love it when undeducated people are quoted in the paper.

Yooooou owe me a laptop, 'cause I just spit out a bunch of beer on mine.

These people are straight crazy.

I saw the picture on the news. Yes, this story made the local news. It's not that bad. The other children are wearing caps and gowns while she is wearing regular clothes. Not a big deal! I agree that they are crazy.

Most public schools in NYC have a number, and some are also named after a person or the neighborhood. Some grammar schools end in 5th or 6th grade so they graduate and go to Junior HS or Intermediate School.

I don't think the picture is that bad. She looks like an 11 year old kid - I guess the parents were expecting Glamour Shots or something.

there was a story a few days ago about a boy who was left out of his HS yearbook - his senior picture was missing, as was his name in the index. He was pictured in his sports team's picture and the Nat'l Honor Society picture, but everything else was just not there.

It was just a careless mistake, but I think that's a bigger deal than a bad 6th grade picture. It's true that people will look back and not see him, so it's like a part of him is "missing."

However, the kid just laughed about it and his mom had labels made with his senior picture and a list of his accomplishments (which were also left out) and they were passed out to the school to stick in their yearbooks.

I think they all had a great attitude about the situation and it was a smart way to handle it.

She was on Good Morning America over the weekend. I think the mom is the one blowing it out of proportion. The hosts on GMA showed her their awkward yearbook pics to make her feel better. She was also given a professional photo shoot to make her feel better.

Putting all blame aside, I really can't help but feel for Asheana because now, instead of being the butt of jokes for 200 kids, now she has to put up with the entire world seeing a picture that's not so great.

Whether or not that picture was horrible, I really think her idiotic mother should shut the fuck up because it's not the picture that's ruining her daughter's life. It's her own damn personal crusade, not her daughter's!

I don't know what I'd do if the Washington Post posted my 7th grade picture...braces and all. I know I'd be tempted to pull a Menendez Brothers, that's for sure.

Oh please. That picture is like ten thousand times better than many of my school pictures! My parents never sued or anything.

Some people need lives.
