Cool Good One!

I see the point about disproportionate taxing, and I agree. One way to fix this is by doing what a politician in Ohio suggested: tax toilet paper.

Taxing Grub...for the love of a City!

What up B!

Fast food tax? It was only a matter of time. Urban area's are under assault from multiple sources, especially from Federal and State government funding levels. Mayor's, School Superintendents et. al. in urban area's are left to devise "creative" sources of funding to keep some semblence of neighborhood and community. This is one of the reasons why you see many folks fighting to keep the Community Block Grant Funding that W and crew wants to eliminate.

You will see tax abatement, property and sales taxes and other mechanism's are utilized in cities where there is loss in population (i.e. check any urban area in the rustbelt). Some fare better than others. Some city's spin their wheels... or remain urban latreens It is a balancing act that that is becoming more difficult... should be settled at the ballot box... However, term limits and lobbiest have managed to alter the balance of power.

I think Bro. Kwame' is banking on folks droppin' a few extra dabloons for Extra Everything w/ Fries!

Kilpatrick is an idiot.

I hope he loses the elections.

And he probably wants to tax our fast foods to finance himself, anyway.

If it was not him who proposed this, I wouldn't have too much problem with this proposal.

Congratulations, Bro. Kilpatrick on last night's re-election to the Detroit mayorality.

...proving once again, that that "06" is in full effect.

I was surprised. Weeks ago, there were reports that he wasn't going to win. I thought his administration had been through some turmoil. :congrats: I guess we'll skee him in July!

Annnnnnnnyway, Congrats !

Yes, it is in effect!
