And TWO dental fraternities?!
These are guesses in the last 8 or so years:
Theta Chi - closed
Triangle closed a few years ago
Pi Kappa Phi - closed
FIJI - lost uni recognition and then from their nationals
Delta Sigma Phi - closed
Phi Delta Theta - closed

they have as "off-campus" fraternities that are recognized by the university:

Alpha Epsilon Pi
Delta Phi
Delta Chi
Lambda Chi Alpha
Phi Sigma Kappa
Sigma Alpha Mu
Tau Epsilon Phi
Tau Kappa Epsilon (although I think they are suspended or something)

I think that's everyone as far as IFC/NPC groups go...

WOW!!! The fraternities that asked me to be a little sister are both gone! I had forgotten about Lambda Chi Alpha, Delta Chi, and Sigma Alpha Mu. The Sammies were forever trying to come back on campus, but were always unsuccessful.

I knew about Delta Sigma Phi to an extent, only because they gave us their lions. Unfortuately, those suckers are HUGE, and I'm not wild about them being on either side of the fireplace, towards the front, instead of on the sides.

Do the rest of the Pitt peeps have this problem: when you visit your Suite, are you frustrated with what it looks like? I promised myself that I would not get upset with the decor, and I wasn't quite as upset as in the past. But I still miss what it looked like when I lived there!!

Perhaps you're thinking of the CMU chapter?
Yeah, that's it. I'm an idiot. My brother's girlfriend went to pitt. I don't know what I was thinking.

Im a little frustrated at the way our suite looks, but its nothing that the actives havent been trying to fix. Last fall they moved us over to an old office space in Bruce Hall, and it still looks... well... office-y! They've done the best that they could with the time and money avaliable, and it does looks pretty good, but I still prefer our old carpets in McCormick to the industrial carpet that was installed be the university. Sigh.

Where the heck are the greek houses/housing at Pitt? I spend craploads of time in Oakland and I've never seen a house (perhaps I'm not looking close enough?).

The Kappas are the only ones with a house - it's on Bayard, between N. Bellefield & N. Dithridge.

The rest of the NPC sororities are in the Quad. If you're driving along Fifth Avenue, and see the PNC Bank, make the next left, and you're in the Quad. Theta Phi Alpha is in the back of the Quad, in Bruce Hall (or in the front, if you're driving along Forbes), while the rest are in Amos Hall. It's the building with PNC at the bottom. There's only 15 minutes parking allowed in the Quad, though.

The Quad were luxury apartments built in 1927 (I think) and called Schenley Apartments. Each building has a different floor plan, but Amos had two apartments on each floor. So, every sorority there has 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens, 3 "normal sized" bedrooms, and 2-3 singles (which were maids' rooms). The Formal Living Room is 25'x 16'6", for example. I have floorplans, if anyone would want me to try (!) to scan them...

Once, each sorority was given ONE side of a floor, with the larger sororities getting both sides, and smaller ones having to share a floor with another sorority. Some of the sororities actually laid claim to a floor, and then another apartment on another floor!

Can we tell who's working on their Chapter's history?

Back in the mid-eighties we used to share a floor with the Kappa Deltas! I couldnt think of another group of ladies who I would rather be with! I think we moved over to McCormick in the late eighties, early nineties, right before we reorganized. Supposedly there is still a Piano still floating around Amos that was once ours, but we no longer know who has it, or even if there was one at all!

I've seen the pictures from back then. I can't even imagine what it would be like to share a suite... especially when you're having ritual, etc. Even with being on different sides, it would still be hard.

I'm trying to remember who has a piano. I know we don't. And I am very thankful for that. While it would be nice during rush, I would NOT want it around while I was living in the suite and people coming home late at night, um, in an "altered" state, and being idiots and playing it.

That's what I thought! Someone tried to tell me that y'all were in the ADPi Suite for a year, and I could NOT place it!

<---- feeling old. When I rushed, the only "full" suites were Alpha Delta Pi, Delta Delta Delta, Chi Omega, and Delta Zeta! The others had the Formal side, and either another sorority, independents, or friends on the other side. DZ & ChiO both had an extra side on another floor (referred to as "annexes") and we had a partial one (and a fake suite in Brackenridge!).
