I am all for high school students expressing their points of view and being able to express themselves. This is the age in which they learn how to be responsible for their freedoms and actions. This is also the age when parents really have to step up and vocalize the consequences of their teens' actions to the teen. The parents also have to really drive it home that you just not have the right to free speech but to PEACEFULLY assemble (which means not to provoke someone into hostility or into defensive mode).

If the administration and parents won't allow teens to practice their freedoms in a safe environment, then, how will these teens learn how to be responsible for their freedoms and actions as they pertain to law? They'll just be as reckless as other Americans with and misunderstand the rights the Constitution grants us. The administration, teachers, and parents need to mediate a discussion involving the students on why both sides of the issue in this high school believe in their opinion on "gay all right with me" vs. "crimes against God". I believe that's the responsible way to difuse any in-fighting and tension that might have occured along the way.

Oh well, that's my lowly opinion on the whole thing.
