Uhoh...that's no good. I have this big thing about being a sorority woman as a role model to other girls, and Girl Scouts is a huge part of that for younger women. This is not a great thing for them to have seen.

I kind of laughed/chuckled to myself when I saw how much press this incident got. I am not from the St. Louis area so I am not sure if the museum is a sacred place or anything, but so many San Diego State greeks have gotten kicked out of hotels, it's not even funny. Trust me, I am not gloating or saying it was ok, it just happened with such frequency that no one flinched when we heard "ABC sorority got kicked out of the Hilton bc one of the pledges passed out in the lobby." Seriously. Most hotels in the area won't even allow fraternity/sorority functions anymore. Sad.

But, I do agree that if there were young students around the museum, that is NOT cool at all.

When I was a freshman at Wash. U. we had our formal at the City Museum. We had the entire place to ourselves. It was really stupid, in my opinion, to have the place open to more than one group at a time--especially when you're talking about college students and Girl Scouts!
It was definitely tough to climb around in formal dresses and heels--especially up the big slinky looking thing. I remember hoping and praying that I didn't slip and fall! One of my sisters got part of her dress stuck somewhere and we had to tear it away--it was a $200 dress and I know she was really pissed that it happened! While it was a cool place to have a formal, there are definite liabilities for having it at the City Museum.
