in the st. pattys day thread i totally thought you meant that you took the girl home and used the redi-whip...i was like "right on...that's awesome!!!"
Haha, I so thought the same thing.

If I didn't have to work, study, go to class, I could get a good exercise routine down. I'm doing good on my eating, but half my calories are probably from beer or other alcohol.

I'm training for a half-marathon, so I'm pretty much running my a$$ off. Combine that with yoga, pilates, and some strength training, I should be pretty good come summer time! And I have been monitoring my food and portion sizes, so I'm listening to my body to telling me when I'm full. So far, so good.

I was 245 lbs, probably 25+% body fat in December 2002 and only 5'11". I was in a long term relationship so I ended up picking up some extra weight. I slowly lost weight to get down to 225 in August 2003, my ex and I started not hanging around each other as much, but were still friends (weren't seeing anyone else either) and I lost another 10 lbs by December 2003.

That's when the ex started dating someone else and I wanted to get her back, but it didn't work out by January 2004 I had dropped down to 200lbs 21% body fat (all this weight loss was just but not eating as much bad food, but I wasn't working out). I then started to work out in April 2004& in 4 months of working out routinely I was down to 175lbs and 11-12% body fat in August. I was picking chicks up all summer too, which was great since I grew up as the chubby kid anyway. I then proceeded to pick up a lot of extra weight over the fall semester so right now I'm 190 lbs, 18-19% body fat.

The point of my long story is that this year I'm starting out in better shape than last year so as long as I don't let myself go back to chubbiness I should be ripped up and in great shape for this summer as I've been lifting weights 3 days a week, concentrating on arms, chest& back 2 days and shoulders, abs& legs 1 day. I've also been running 3 miles 3 times a week.

I bought a mp# player which helps time to fly by and doesn't allow me to notice my legs turning to lead. I think I'm going to start riding the bike for 30 minutes after running to burn more fat to get in better shape sooner. I can already notice results with my clothes being looser, except in my arms, which is good.

I think I'm going to have my sister's boyfriend start training me so I can get in great shape. I know he's a good trainer b/c a NBA player for the Memphis Grizzlies uses him.

Sorry for the long background info.

Head to the kitchen to work my hands and forearms making lunches and then doing make up, blow drying and curling hair.

Work out the vocal cords trying to get the kids to get up.

Sometimes I do another upper body workout, dragging my son out of bed, but I vary this from day to day.

I work my shoulders and neck while driving to work. I can tell I work them hard while driving because they always hurt when I get there, especially when it's snowing.

1/4 mile walk from my car to my desk, resting only on the elevator, where I exercise my fingers pushing the buttons for everybody who gets on it.

I log about 10,000 steps on a pedometer at work during the day, going from floor to floor and wing to wing to fix people's computer issues, go the cafeteria, vending machines and smoking area.

1/4 mile walk back to the car, followed by another 45 minutes of the shoulder/neck workout.

I do bends, squats and walking with resistance at the grocery store. When I'm lucky, I get to take a break and walk in place while I wait in line at checkout! Then it's more walking with resistance to the car and more bends and squats to put groceries in the car! Neck and shoulder exercises on the way home again, then more bending and squatting, plus walking with weights, up stairs!

I then sprint to the back door to let the dog in and feed her. Then it's more bends and squats to put groceries away. I do a lot of upper body stretching now too. Then come the stairs! Taking extra groceries that don't fit into the cupboard or freezer down the stairs. Since I try to make as few trips as possible, I sometimes do this with 30 lbs of weights! This helps the biceps and the lats!

I exercise my fingers by posting on Greek Chat and then decide it's time to make dinner. This involves more walking, squats and bends along with some upper body stirring. Then I make my son do his "setting the table" workout so his arms get strong and agile.

Next is the jaw workout. It's my favorite, I must admit!

My daughter does her exercises then, clearing dishes so that I can get in my dish washing/drying/putting away lifts.

I get to exercise my mind next while assisting with 3rd and 5th grade homework!

Then I get more steps in while I get the kiddos ready for bed and then, well, I crash, usually exhausted.

I was never this tired when I worked out regularly at the gym! What's up with that????

Quality!

This is MUCH better than a lot of those girlie emails that are passed around!!

I'm stuck doing stretching exercises until my back muscles quit making me look like a marionette as they spasm!! But the pain meds are nice...

Does anybody know of any websites that outline good "at home" workouts with no equipment use? I'm kinda new to this whole workout thing.
