OK, it's a heck of a long way from someone lighting up behind closed doors to cocaine trafficking.

a DZ perspective

As a DZ and a newspaper editor I have some stuff to say on this topic. 1. I wish more student newspapers would work harder to get their info correct. I know my school did. but in the second article the spelled our national president's name wrong. its on our website like 30 times!!!! arg. 2. i know alot of our chapters are very deep into drugs and its ridiculous. i love my sisters from all different schools but drugs are not acceptable. we make a pledge to be delta zetas and therefore represent them at all times. doing drugs or posessing drug paraphanelia (esp in the chapter house) is so unacceptable. 3. I know for a fact 1 or 2 members using drugs is not a reason that our nationals would drop a charter for. it definately should ahve been something more. however, i feel that it sux for the sisters who werent involved to get kicked out of the house so quickly. i think they could have dealt with that better. the school did help the members find housing right away so they were not like thrown out onto the street. but we have to take into account that possibly they had been receiving warnings to change this for semesters and nothing was done. a member of this chapter even said that almost the entire eboard graduated the semester that most of this stuff went down so many the membership wasnt informed by their eboard. who knows!
i also think it is really sad that a member of dz is sueing nationals. good take away money to help chapters that are doing what they should be or for scholarships. i guess that is just indictive of american society nowadays. sue everyone and get some profit from a bad situation for and by everyone.
