I hope that USC would have learned what happens to teams that have NCAA infractions, but I mean, even OU had to learn the lessons the hard way... And in socal where you can buy anything, why not be able to buy a National Championship?
Also, you're a college graduate, or at least in college, and you aren't from the South, never again use the word y'all.

OU Allowed turnovers because USC is amongst the best in the nation at FORCING them. You lost because your team made mistakes, sure. But also because USC is very good and OU had not faced a defense like ours all season. (I got this stat from either SI or ESPN)
If you'd made yourself CLEAR in your post, maybe I would have known what you were talking about. Those rumors have surrounded EVERY successful football program for eons. And yes, I have heard them about OU.
Me dense. lol That's good. Can you hear me laughing all the way from the plains of OK?
Accept your defeat gracefully. You are not representing your school well by whining. You lost. However it happened you did. I know it sucks, but its a fact.
Had Y'ALL won, I am sure Y'ALL would NEVER have let me hear the end of it, so calm down, KTHXBI. However, other OU fans on this board have shared a more good natured rivalry with me.
I wont' use y'all if you'll pull your head out of your behind and stop being such a little snot.

You know I was born in the south and live in the north now, and people up here use y'all more than they did in the south. Honestly it's a word that has snuck into american vernacular, and if you're going to get grumpy about people using it then please feel free to move someplace they don't use it.
Or maybe you were too dense to pick up on that...

Dude, they don't really play anyone that good. Same as OU, who do they play thats really worth a damn? U match USC or OU up with any of the 10 best teams in the SEC and they wont look as good.

Y'all, I think my cats could've beaten Oklahoma in that game. Even taking into account the fact that I have like 900 cats, that's still pretty sucky. A loss is a loss, so what's the point of making excuses? If a teams beats themselves (whatever that means) they still go home at the end of the day LOSERS.
Good thing my team won its bowl game anyway. That was the best game EVAR.

Of course, when a college team plays a pro team, what else do you expect?
*snicker* Of course, I'm not impliying anything about the University of Spoiled Children... But they should be aware of what happened to other schools that did that...
|
Because Oklahoma ran a squeaky clean program under Barry Switzer, right? Just admit that you guys got beaten by the better team.
Geez, and they say us Yankees fans are sore losers.

Heh, I love it when people can respond to a blowout loss with such class. Oh, wait . . .
Let's not pretend that the inappropriate booster club donations aren't happening at just about every Division I school in the country. That would be pretty naive of us, don't you think? This is especially true of the big football schools, like -- I don't know, Oklahoma's probably up there.
And I'll say "y'all" if I want to, sweetheart.

If the game were to be played again next week, the outcome MIGHT be different. Both teams appeared to measure up to each other very well -- at least on paper.
There is NO DOUBT that Southern California was by far and away the better team January 4, though.
You just can't hide behind "mistakes" in a loss. A lot of Oklahoma's "mistakes" were generated by S.C.
The winners played a near perfect game, and the losers played way below their norm.
At the end of the day (or the game), S.C. won and O.U. lost. That won't change. Time to admit it and move on.

One of the tabbies can play fetch, so this might work. He'd catch the ball but he might not know where to run with it. I can fill the end zone with catnip and running water and maybe he'd make it there.

We could have it be my tabby too...he will come running for the whisker lickins that are the beef flavor...just plant those in the endzone when he gets the ball!
