I forgot about A Very Brady Christmas and Jingle all the Way. The girl who subbed for Susan to play "Cindy" did a better job that Geri with "Jan".

The lady who played Jan in A Very Brady Christmas was Eve Plumb, who played her on the original series. I am pretty sure that only Cindy's character was recast for that one.

I really thought I was the only person in the world who loved that movie.

Definitely:

Charlie Brown Christmas
A Christmas Story
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the cartoon and the Jim Carey version)
It's a Wonderful Life
National Lampoon's Christmas

..... Ok so apparently just about everything that people have said so far.

The all time best though is White Christmas. Ever since I was a little girl, my grandmother would watch that movie together, just the two of us either while we decorated the tree or on Christmas Eve after everyone went to bed. I loved that because it was a special time for just us two, and because it was something that she did with my dad when he was little. Aww, this is getting me ALL ready for Christmas.

The house where it was filmed used to be owned by one of the members in my SAI alumnae chapter. Back in the day they used to hold our annual Christmas party at her house.

To go along with my original post of Die Hard, I saw Gremlins on TV this morning, another great Christmas movie.

Clarification:
The fake Jan was used in the Brady Bunch Variety Hour. The reason why Susan Olsen couldn't do the Xmas version was because she was on her honeymoon. Jennifer Runyon played "Cindy" in the Christmas version.

Ahhh! Gotcha. And I didn't know that the reason Susan couldn't do the Christmas special was because she was on her honeymoon. That's much better than thinking that she just didn't want to do it.

Thanks for clearing it up!!

A Christmas Story.

We always every Christmas Eve sit down as a big family and all watch Ralphie and Randy. No matter how many times we see it, we all laugh and love it.

It has some great holiday memories so I love that one.

I also LOVE Earnest Saves Christmas. Great one.

A Christmas Story
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
It's A Wonderful Life
Christmas in Connecticut (or something like that...can't remember the exact name)

My dad is a huge fan of Christmas movies, so there are others I'm forgetting.

I guess A Christmas Story's house was here in Cleveland. A guy bought it off ebay and he moved here. He plans to restore it to how it was in the movie and make it into a shrine and a museum to go walk through. I guess he got in contact with a few people from the movie and was able to get some of the stuff from the set to put into the house.

Man noone else has seen Earnest Saves Christmas? Or do I just have a wierd sense of humor lol?

Since I was raised that Christmas isn't talked about till Santa arrives at Macy's at the end of the parade....I will hold my favorites till then. But isn't it a wee bit early to be talking about Christmas? I still have Halloween candy to eat in my apartment!

It's just not Christmas until I watch 'A Christmas Story'. We bought the VHS for my daddy, but we don't watch it at all, we only watch it when it's on tv...
No one could believe that I had never watched "The Grinch" or the Charlie Brown Christmas movie until last year. Both were pretty good too!

White Christmas
A Christmas Story
A Muppet's Christmas Carol

It's in the singing of a street corner choir
It's going home and getting warm by the fire
It's true Wherever you find love
It feels like Christmas
A cup of kindness that we share with another
A sweet reunion with a friend or a brother
In all the places you find love
It feels like Christmas
It is the season of the heart
A special time of caring
The ways of love made clear
It is the season of the sprit
The message if we hear it
Is make it last all year
It's in the giving of a gift to another
A pair of mittens that were made by your mother
It's all the ways that we show love
That feel like Christmas
A part of childhood we'll always remember
It is the summer of the soul in December
Yes, when you do your best for love
It feels like Christmas
It is the season of the heart
A special time of caring
The ways of love made clear
It is the season of the sprit
The message if we hear it
Is make it last all year
It's in the singing of a street corner choir
It's going home and getting warm by the fire
It's true, wherever you find love
It feels like Christmas
It's true, wherever you find love
It feels like Christmas
