Crown and Seven.

I also love Captain, Sprite, and a splash of grenadine.

a man after my own heart. I'm a fan of Oban on the rocks. Yum. And Bombay Sapphire and tonic is my well known drink of choice-just ask anyone who's gotten a drunk IM or text .

DGqueen, if you like more fruity drinks, try a flavored vodka (Stoli Vanilla or 3 Olives Cherry are decent) with soda or sprite. If you're at a bar that carries it, Ciroc is an excellent vodka, and white grape martinis are great for a girly night

My absolute favorite drink of all time, is a vodka tonic with diet tonic water. Most bars here (in fact none of them I don't think) carry that though, but regular tonic is all right. That's my normal drink, I drink those like they're water which is probably not a good habit but they are fantastic, esp. with extra lime.

My boy's favorite drink is Red Bull and vodka, in fact it's his entire fraternity's favorite drink. When we went down to Memphis for formal I have never seen so many huge cases of Red Bull in one place before, there were two rows of seats in the bus filled with just Red Bull. YUCK, I hate it, and it makes all the boys act likes jackasses, but whatever. Also I think it smells/tastes somewhat like licorice which I'm allergic to so that adds to the nastiness.

We both share the same favorite shot though and that's SoCo and lime...if you haven't already had this go get one soon. They are addicting and I love love love them.

Also good is vodka, grenadine, and sprite...an alcoholic shirley temple I guess, I don't think there is a real name for it but I don't know.

Mahwah Iced Tea

1/2 shot Jim Beam bourbon
1/2 shot Southern Comfort
fill the rest of the highball glass with iced tea and a couple of cubes.

*i don't know if it's warm where you are, but i think this is more of a warmer weather drink. also, it should be called a Mahwah Sweet Tea, because bourbon is made in kentucky, and So Co is southern(nawlins), which would lead one to think the tea should be southern, too: sweet tea.

i also garnish with a lemon slice, but i think lime or a mint leaf would be just as nice.

Depends on your tastes...I like the taste of a good scotch, but again it's all a matter of taste.

You said you didn't like rum, but everyone owes themselves a taste of SAILOR JERRY Navy Spiced Rum if you can find it.

Basically it's a better version of Captain. It's so much smoother, has a slight cherry aftertaste and is 92 proof instead of 80 proof (and who doesn't love that???). It costs the same as Captain at one of the grocery stores here in town.

I love Sailor and OJ when I'm at home, and I just found that one of the bars here is now carrying Sailor, so I may have to start going there more often.

I'm a new comer to Red Bull and Vodka, but I love it I've never had a problem with it, just the opposite in fact. It makes me feel like a rock star and I haven't woken up with a hang over from it yet!

I don't drink soda, so I stick to mixers and al-kee-hall:

* Whiskey Sour
* MARGARITAS, rimmed (teehee) with sugar, not salt
* merlot/white zin
* Cosmos (pretty much any sweet martini)
* too many frozen drinks to name

LOVE TO DRINK!!!!

If you're looking for sweet drinks with kick, I'd stick with Long Island Ice Tea. I've made more than a few people stumbling drunk with those

Easiest way to make 'em is to go get a LIT mixer (with the alcohol in it). Then, all you have to do is add the vodka and a splash of coke for color. Uncomplicated.

For shots, nothing beats the Jagermeister.

Whiskey over ice ain't bad for sippin' drink.

For chugging, I'll take a flaming Dr. Pepper: Fill a pint glass full of beer, fill a shot glass with amaretto, then, on the top, add a little 151 (some folks opt for a LOT of 151), just don't forget the amaretto. Light the 151, drop the shot into the beer and chug.

My favorite drink is the mint bucket. For this one, you'll need spoon straws (I got a bunch of them at William-Sonoma) and a punch bowl. I've described this one several times on here:
You'll need to cover the bottom of the bowl with mint leaves -- fresh are best, dried work also if you're not worried about it looking like you have pot floating around. Then, fill bottom of punch bowl with ice, add fruits such as strawberries, cherries, grapes, peaches, blueberries (avoid melons). Then, add another layer of ice. Now add 1 liter of ginger ale, 2 cans of pink lemonade and an entire bottle of vodka. If there's any room left in the bowl, fill it with ice.

The thing with this drink is that it's best a 'communal drink'. In other words, everyone needs to drink out of the spoon straws. Using glasses is not acceptable

It forces everyone to be social -- good stuff. A little elaborate, but it's worth it. And a hell of a good drink.

Any carbonated and caffeinated drink will help get you drunk 'faster' b/c the carbonation etc helps absorption of alcohol directly from the stomach - good times, good times.

If you dig the bit of 'woodsy' flavor, gin and tonics are hard to f- up (where most of these shots are pretty easy to jack around and make something disgusting), plus the hangover will be manageable. Bombay Sapphire and Tanquaray (esp Tanq no. 10) are the two best, but a touch pricey - you can get by with Seagram's in a pinch (and for under $10 a bottle).

Tequila and Sprite is one of my favorites, but I'm a dickhead tequila drinker. It's best with a blanco or an anejo tequila, a reposado is basically just wasted - but uhhhhhh Cuervo Gold (or Sauza Gold) doesn't do too badly if you don't get the terminology. If you want slightly cheaper, Two Fingers is usually around $14 a bottle, and it's solid.

White wine will get you where you're going, and cheap wines are very fruit-forward (read: sweet-ish, with a touch of melon or floral flavors) - try some of the better, cheap bottles (Rex Goliath, Jindalee, etc) and if you're into value shopping pick up the Big Fucking Box for like $11 . . . I'd stick with the Franzia or Almadan "Crisp White" or "Refreshing White" and don't even ask what's inside, just do spicket stands and get f-ed.

SoCo and lime shots . . . my lover kiki is right on time with those, and you can add some weird coconut flavor as well to get a 'surfer on acid' - very solid, and fairly cheap.

Something sweet: Amaretto sours. Something to look like you have some balls at the bar: whiskey sours.

Props for the boxed wine.

A personal fav of mine is a Long Island Ice Tea. Lots of alcohol but you don't taste it too much.

I also like Madras. It's 1.5oz vodka, 4oz cranberry juice, and 1oz orange juice. Pretty much a Sex on the Beach minus the peach schnapps.

If you like Midori, try a Melon Ball. It's got 2oz Midori, 1oz Vodka, and 4oz Pineapple juice.

Chocolate Martinis have become my new favorite. I'm not sure how to make it. I know the ingredients in case you want to try and see if you can create it. They are Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur, Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur, Vanilla Vodka, Half-and-Half, Frangelico, and Amaretto.

My all time favorite is an easy to make drink: Amaretto Sours. Just some Amaretto and some sour mix.

ETA:
Here's another easy to make drink. A friend of mine is a bartender at a Martini bar downtown. He says that the bar will drop almost a whole bag of Jolly Ranchers into a 3/4 full bottle of Vodka. Wait for the Jolly Ranchers to disolve and then serve in a Martini glass. You now have some Jolly Rancher flavored Vodka. My favorite is the peach Jolly Rancher flavored Vodka.

I'm normally a tequila drinker. My favorite is tequila sunrise: tequila, oj, and grenadine (although I'm going to assume that most people know how to make them).
tequila shots are always good
green apple martinis are wonderful
dr pepper and vanilla vodka
vanilla vodka and some type of orange drink (like slice) is really good. taste like a orange push pop
the very best drink i've ever had - a hypnotic beach. no clue how you make it though. if anyone knows how, let me know please.
wow. i really hope all this doesnt make me sound like a drunk.
