We had to do character anaylsis of the moive when I was in high school. I said Glinda was a drug lord. Seriously, look at the evidence
1. Yellow Brick Road- clearly solid gold bars
2. Dorthy et al go through the poppy field- they stumbled onto Glinda's stash
3. Glinda then sprinkles them with snow...ahem, SNOW.

I think I had more...but can't recall it now. I think it was something about how the Wicked Witch was working for the DEA and Glinda took out a hit on her and her sister (from the East) and Dorthoy wasn't an innocent girl from Kansas, but instead a vicious assasin.

I had a blast with that paper.


ETA: I just saw PM_Mama00's post...I'm such a genius! No seriously, I never heard of the moive orginally meaning to scare kids away from drugs. I do know the book was a political commentary.
