If you believe in LX enough, and show that enthusiasm to potential members, there's no reason you cannot succeed.
Believe me, there is not much finer an accomplishment you will have in life than seeing a charter being granted, or the Ritual for the first time. I rank that 3rd on my all-time life's greatest moments (my children's births and my wedding are the only two that top it).
Let people see you guys bleed PP&G. They'll wonder what there is to be so excited about. Don't show them it's nothing but hard work - hard work it is, but it's fun and worthwhile.
I've been to two charterings now - USC Pueblo and UNC (rechartering), and hopefully we'll see the foundation laid down for another recolonization and recharter here in the very near future at CSU.

Hey Joel,
I would really look into having everyone move in, or next to each other. When we moved out of our house, 12 brothers lived next door in one apartment complex and another 10 lived in another. Believe it or not, I actually saw those guys more than I did before. Living next to each other really makes running a chapter easier. The best part is, whenever you see each other, it usually isn't a weekly meeting where it's business, or a rush event, etc. You really get to be friends with these people, you get to know them better on a daily basis. Once you're closer, communication will be easier too. Just a suggestion.

Could not agree more. The best way to improve brotherhood is to have brothers spend time together. And not in a meeting or structured activity.

Josh, I more than many except lifesave know the situation at UA-A.
Do not get burnt out, but keep the wheels turning. Sounds like you have a Hell of a Brother in Joel.
It is never easy, but I think what many are saying, is get a place, rented, Apt. or Dorm area to have as many Brothers there as possible. It is a Focal point for you and all of the Brothers to congregate.
Jono is a great one to ask about that. They have never had a house/building and are very strong at FIT, BN Z in Fl. That is where I met EM1843 for the first time and what a great Brother!
The Brothers that I have met there and the stories told are priceless!
The Brothers are what LXA is all about, not a building alone!
Purple, Green & Gold that is what I am, LXA till the day I die!
My Brothers from LX Z, the Brothers that I have met at other Zetas, Brothers from GreekChat, Brothers from meeting at GEN. Assembly, that is what We are! Say meeting you under the circumstances that We met, You and Jeff, lifesaver, Mike Raymond, Bill Foltz, ETC. that just goes to show, We are more than one, We are many!
I Am a Brother and along with All of My Brothers, We have the finest Fraternity in Greek Dom!

This forum is awesome guys, it's really motivating to know that we can get support and advice from brothers from other areas. Keep the advice coming and myself and Josh V. will keep you guys posted with our progress.

I used to go to UAA, I moved back to the Lesser 48 to be closer to my family and the classes I am taking here are more suited to my interests than the offerings at UAA. I'll PM you some names soon. I have to make sure they are still involved with UAA but I think they are. Some are adjunct but I don't think that should be a problem. The one I think would be the best is a lawyer and an accountant, which is just an added bonus when dealing with Risk Management & Finances, as well as contracts. He would bring pizza to class for us, and he is really goofy too.
