first round
ok so its one in the morning and i just got home from the first night of recruitment, i loved it! it was completely exhausting but it was so much fun i loved meeting all the girls and their houses
ok so it was very hard to keep all nine houses straight in my head, i really liked every chapter
i am going to use countries to refer to the houses i have visited
so first stop france
France: i LOVED these girls! i really clicked with all of them i talked to, i met a really great girl that just returned from study abroad in the country i want to go to! so we had lots to talk about i really enjoyed my time at this chapter
Sweden: i didnt really get to talk to any of the girls one on one until the end of the party, since there was only one sister for two girls, but they two girls i talked to individually were great, i love their philanthropy as well
Denmark: my opinion of these girls was completely different that what i expected! they were not at all like i thought they were i really liked them, they seemed like a fun group of girls and they were very into ISS which i liked, they also seemed to like each other a lot
Spain: this was another group that i completely changed my mind about, the girls were so sweet, and seemed like they geniunely understood where i was coming from and what i was looking for, i really felt that i had good connections with the girls i met and i loved that i got to talk about everything from serious sorority stuff to our favorite foods and places to travel
Holland: i really liked this group, they were very diverse and really truly seemed to like each other and love their sorority, i met really great girls here and loved my time with them
Germany: this chapter was really impressive they seemed to have every aspect of sorority life balanced out and close to perfect, from sisterhood to academics to philanthropy they had it covered, i really liked how involved they were within the greek community and in the rest of the community
Portugal: this was another very diverse group, i liked most of the girls i met but i am not completely sure about them, i really seemed to click with one girl who is doing the same double major as me and also is from a town not too far away from mine, hopefully if i do get to go back to them tomorrow i will get to know them a little better
Italy: these were sweet girls, but i just couldnt see myself being in their sisterhood, i was trying so hard to make up for the girl who was with me while talking to the sisters since she was being rather rude to them, but the conversation seemed forced still.
England: i really liked these girls i met a girl that loves to cook as much as me, they were another of the more diverse chapters and i loved how many completely different types of girls i got to meet
so spirit night starts tomorrow at 2! i cant wait! i know its only going to be better than tonight!

for the second round (spirit night) you can go up to seven houses, so last night we ranked them all number 1-9 and then depending on whose invite lists you were on decides where you will go and to how many houses, then tonight we will again rank the houses 1-9 and tomorrow (philanthropy night) i think we can only go to up to 4 houses but it could be 5, and then 2 for pref on monday
and if you are cut you the rho chis will call you before hand so you dont show up, i dont know if that answers your question exactly but thats the best i can explain it
the rho chis kept explaining it like college admissions, they choose you and you choose them

spirit night!
i just got back from spirit night and it was absolutely amazing! i got invited back to my top seven houses for tonight so to start with i was pretty stoked about that! visiting the houses tonight was so much fun i just loved it and i had a really hard time trying to narrow it down.
France: i love love love these girls i got to meet totally new girls tonight and they were all just great! i loved their theme and their skit, it really showed their sisterhood and how much they loved being a part of it
Portugal: i did get to meet more girls here tonight, which was good since it allowed me to see more into the chapter but i seemed to only have one genuine conversation during the whole party, i just didnt see myself fitting into this group that well
Holland: i fell in LOVE with this house tonight!!! the girls i met were just amazing i loved everything about my time with them, they were all so excited to be introducing us to a little part of what there sisterhood is about, i got to talk to totally new girls at this house too and loved them all, and a girl i talked to last night stopped by to say hi so that was good too
Denmark: i talked to new girls here too but i didnt feel like i connected with them as well as i did last night, so we will see how it goes, i wouldnt mind being invited back to this house but if i'm not i wont be heartbroken either
Germany: this chapter was still impressive but i only clicked with one of the girls, who i also talked to last night, again i would like to go back if they invite me but if they dont i wont be completely crushed
Spain: this house was amazing i really liked their theme and skit and loved how close they all were to each other, even though they are a bigger chapter they all seem to genuinely care and love their sorority, again my conversations were very varied with these girls which i liked and they didnt feel forced or fake either
Sweden: i'm happy i went back to this chapter and got to meet more girls say hi to the ones i met last night as well hopefully i will get to know them better tomorrow

well i just got a call from my rho chi telling me that i wasn't invited back to any parties tonight, i'm really crushed, especially since i felt that i had such an amazing night last night she said she would put my name on the COB list and that i might be contacted after bid day but i am pretty sure that just about ever chapter will be at quota
so thats the end for now but hopefully not forever
thanks for all the well wishes and help

Don't be disheartened! The same thing happened to me during rush, and I ended up in my No. 1 choice. It's in my rush story but I hope everything works out for you. Is there spring rush you can go through?

I'm sorry hunny. You should definitely try for COB though. You never know if all of the houses will make quota or not. Good luck with COB.

I'm sorry things went that way. Please give COB a chance. You may get a surprise when and where you least expect it. Good luck to you.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Like others said, you never know what can happen with COB.
