An excellent question. For which I don't have an answer. I suspect it varies from National to National and perhaps from situation to situation.

It might be wise to hold off on any action like that until all of the official investigations are complete and any criminal or civil charges are filed.

Right on.

I support Deferred Rush, but not because of the alcohol thing. I think, as a freshman, you'll find ways to drink regardless if you're Greek or not. CU is deluded if they think that's going to ameliorate the alcohol issues on campus.

For what it's worth, all of my friends who received alcohol-related sanctions or were hospitalized for severe intoxication were independent.

If the chapter "investigates" and takes action against an individual prior to civil or criminal action, the chapter's notes and procedures can be used against him, perhaps unfairly. Best for all concerned is for the individual involved to resign immediately before the chapter takes disciplinary action. that protects the chapter, and also protects the individual.

Yes is true, I will post this here as I did on another post.

If a few, that is if a few do some idiotic thens, then why should a Toatal Greek Organization take the fall unless it is and has become a known problem with them. If Yes, that is the case, then gone, gone, gone.

But with the attitude of CU and the hands off policy with Greeks, then they are as as much at fault as anyone. Oh, I wash My hands with them instead of trying to work with them. Hang all Greeks on A Cross, but dont screw with The Football Program!

Maybe it is time that Greeks who are a positive preasence out there say hey, what the Hell!

We are not just local Greeks, but Alums and a National Organization who are concerned about the same damn things.

Yes, I was if one does, then they all deseave to fall, well, I was wrong. If this is against Chapter and Natinal Poloicy, punish the wrong doer, that makes a point unto it self!

Get them the hell out of there now! If it is a Chapter thing, then begone! Simple!

Defered Rush, way to go, lose membership. Take Newies, work with them, teach them, train them in the Proper way!
