No. The issue with Thurman was someone who had passed on. Once you get a label of politician it doesn't earn you the right to do whatever and people just keep quiet out of respect for it. This isn't a partisan thing. I've disliked many a Republican and find some to be scum. Kennedy is a worthless waste of space.

Rudey has a right to think Kennedy is scum. Just like I have a right to think Bush is scum.

You want to compare those two? Right now?

Bush's issues with chemical dependency are in the past and to our knowledge have not resulted in anyone's death.

Kennedy still has a problem right now and has actually killed someone.

How is Bush scum?

You have a right to think pigs can fly, but it means nothing and is irrelevant.

I have a right to think that a murderer is scum and I have an absolute right to believe that a politician who supported terrorist thugs taking over my native country is scum.

Is Laura running for any political position?
How old was Laura?
Was she drunk?
Did she have an expired drivers license?

You very well know that the two aren't the same at all.

She's "running" for first lady I know they aren't the same but if we're going to play mean then let's play mean.

The twins had an invite only party at my school yesterday. I wasn't invited.

If you look at my post you just replied to, I listed several questions which make the two entirely different. There is a reason why Democrats don't bring up Laura because they know it is nothing comparable to Ted Kennedy and they'd be embarassed. Now you're thinking like IowaStatePhiPsi, sadly.

No, she did it sober. I don't even see why Ted Kennedy is being discussed. He'll never be President.

And IAPP and I will never be married for a vast number of reasons. We'll start with the fact that he's a Deaniac.

I can answer those - No, no, and no...and I believe she was in her teens when it happened. She also did not flee the scene and was extremely cooperative with authorities throughout the process.

I'm not sure you can compare the two accidents, even if both resulted in loss of life.

I'm not saying either is all that relevant...but there is a difference.

There were more questions than that.

And the topic was about DUI so I believe Ted Kennedy, a Democrat who likes to drink and drive without a license and kill innocent people would qualify.

whoa wait - are you insinuating that an accident, something that happens while sober, is somehow WORSE than committing a crime that results in a death?!

No, I'm just saying that Laura Bush has also hit someone with a car.
