HC there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the moderation over here and the moderation over there
HC I would not understand people hating on the moderation over here but in other places..... I ain't about to join in, but I UNDERSTAND!

HC peep this ad from my local newspaper: "Social services caseworker needed. Full time with benefits. $20K/yr. Send resume to PO Box ABC123?"
HC I did that and got a call for an interview at the Salvation Army?
HC I was like b/c the job didn't pay much but the hours were good and they had benefits?
HC I went out there today and right at the beginning of the interview the chaplain tells me that there was something misleading about the ad in the paper?
HC my first thought was, "the $20K was a mistake!"?
HC he tells me that they were not looking for a caseworker, they were looking for a social services caseworker director? For the whole county? For $20K/yr?
HC I know the SA works on a limited budget but dayum, ya'll can't afford to spell out what you want when you place an ad in the paper?
HC I didn't stay for that interview?
HC I don't have enough SW experience to run an agency for the whole county?
HC not for $20K, anyway?
HC I've only been out of school 2 yrs?
HC I did pray to the Lord that if HE felt this job was not for me, do not let me get any further in the interview process?
HC I guess the SA was not for me?
HC perhaps my place is at my current agency?

HC if we're going to tell it, let's tell the whole story.
SG did used to be much better than it is now, I don't care what anyone says. yes, there was drama, yes, there were perps, but we did a much better job at being respectful of one another without HEAVY-HANDED moderation (coughcoughgreekchatcough).
I said this on the SISTERNET forum in reference to SIMPLYGREEK.
I post more in Chit-Chat and Greek Life because I don't like to see threads merged, evolving titles, and discussions on entertainment that could be had in the entertainment forum. I have personally had threads deleted without warning. Although I don't think it would kill anybody to "do a search" before they post a topic, I think there have been times were some moderators (don't ask me who, I don't remember) have gone above and beyond to publically "blast" somebody. I didn't like it. And for those reasons I don't post on either the AKA or DST forum all like that.
Is it deep enough for me to PM a moderator about? NOPE. But in the context of the conversation on the other board, it was relevant to mention.
How the Sorors and Deltas choose to maintain the culture on their boards is of no consequence to me....enjoy it. I don't, so don't worry about me at all. Peace.

HC Senusret (my buddy/son), I see some of your points. The search thing gets to me, too. Especially when the old thread comes up two years old and I have to read through all of those old posts before I get to the new posts that may have a differenct relevance at this point (and many times I don't even realize that the posts are that old until I see that I had already responded a year ago )
HC sometimes it is nice to start a new thread of thought on an old topic because there are new and different people on the boards.
HC the evolving titles kinda get on my nerves, too, for basically the same reason as above--the thread starts under the old title and I have to page through to get to the start of the new title.
But, HC I also read your comment on Sisternet and wished you hadn't referenced GC. But I also didn't know it would be taken so seriously since I am glad of the moderation on here (which I do not consider heavy handed, especially compared to other really heavy handed boards.)
HC on another drama-free board a comment was made that they didn't want the drama of GC and I had to laugh because the poster must not have ever seen real drama on a board.
And most of all, HC I hope you will still post on the Avenue and the Boulevard.

HC that Salvation Army chaplain must have been on something?
HC the SA has waaayyyy more dollars than you know?
HC that sounded like just plain ole deception so they can say they interviewed a diverse group of people?
HC they are probably looking to hire someone who doesn't need to work but just wants something to do to say they are fulfilling their missionary quota?
HC it will probably be a known Salvation Army member?

HC ?
HC I musta missed a lot?
HC *le sigh*?
HC I'm so cool like that?
HC my co-worker pisssededed me off when I came in today?
HC our boss it out ill, so we have been given permission to make our own schedules out for September?
HC I already told my boss that I would only be able to work Monday-Thursday this month because I got a lot going on?
HC co-worker takes the initative to make a sample schedule?
HC cool, we are all like email it to us, and we'll make sure it works with us?
HC she decides to email it to us and then copy it to our boss and his boss?
HC she said something like, "This works for me, but if anyone else has a problem with it, they can change it"?
HC shouldn't we make all the changes first and THEN CC it to management?
HC it makes us look indecisive?
HC I think that they are doing us a big favor by allowing us to do this, and if we are looking like we can't get our stuff together, they'll be more likely to take back the reigns and do it themselves?
HC simpletons?
HC I can GAF what she put me on the schedule for, I've already made out my schedule and that's what I'm working, I really could give a youknowwhat about what they do on first shift?

HC did that just put somebody on BLAST?
HC I'm not sure?
HC some things are so confusing?
HC it's not deep enough to PM anyone about, but it's relevant enough to mention on another board AND relevant and/or deep enough to post about here, huh?
HC WHATEVER?
HC like I said, SPEED ON?

HC if people left the kitchen because they could not stand the heat, could that mean it is time to turn down the damn fryer and get some AC?
HC I'm just saying?

HC or it could simply mean that you don't belong in the kitchen so get out, stay out, and don't come back?
