Some schools in Missouri have changed names, so I edited this list to reflect those changes:
Central Missouri State University is now University of Central Missouri. (Nu chapter)
Southwest Missouri State is now Missouri State University.(Beta Beta chapter)

convention news
Just got back from convention yesterday.
Tri Sigma will have 2 new colonies in the fall and 2 redevelopments. Women from the schools for the colonies attended convention. I know Pratt in New York will be one of them. I need to go through all my information to get the other school.

Unfortunately, the Beta Beta chapter (MO State) has been closed. Details will most likely appear in the Spring Triangle.

sad news
It is with regret that the Executive Council of Sigma Sigma Sigma accepts the decision of our Alpha Nu Chapter at Southern Illinois University to relinquish their chapter charter. The chapter will be placed on our inactive chapter roster effective April 20, 2008. All collegiate members in good standing will be granted alumnae status and may assume the rights, privileges and responsibilities of alumnae membership.
OH the tears.

Any information on the reason? Low membership numbers, risk management, financial, grades...etc?!
How sad to lose another chapter, especially on Founders Day *sadface
Hope they will be able to regroup and come back stronger than ever in the future!

Oh, I'm so sad...
I hope we can regroup there, too! I hope we can start adding and re-inviting more chapters to that chapter roll soon, too...

Embry-Riddle
Hello from the Embry-Riddle Colony. I heard rumblings of what is up with us, so...
We were to be installed on April 2nd, but grade reports were slow in coming for some reason and we ended up only having about a week from the vote to the banquet, so too much planning to do. We decided that we should tell Nationals we would rather do it in the Fall so we can make it an even more memorable event rather than thrown together. Also, our numbers were on the low side staying steady between 24 and 26 with people transferring out and our open recruitment bringing more women in.
We are hoping to have the banquet in September, early October. I am so excited about being initiated that I almost cry everytime I think about it! We worked our tails off for this whole school year and are definately excited about the fall.
When it gets closer to time, I will post an invite to the banquet to any Sigmas in the area!
Anyhow, that's my update on Riddle. And *snaps* to making the whole huge list!
