Encourage her to keep an open mind about all of the chapters.
When I went through recruitment I went back to a house on the second day that i didnt too much care for on the first day, and ended up loving them after my party the second day. So encourage her to give all the houses a chance (This also helps maximize her chances of pledging as well).

She's definitely trying to keep an open mind. She already found out today that some of her preconceived notions were way off. Like a lot of people have already said, there are so many great houses to choose from at FSU, I'm sure she'll find the right one for her!

Good luck to your daughter! And I hope your nerves aren't too frazzled at the end of this whole experience, too

Glad to hear she is having a good time and fun. Tell her not to forget about SDT's re-colonization at FSU, I'm going to assume they aren't taking part in formal rush, correct me if I am wrong.

No, I went to a school that didn't have a very prominent greek system (way back in the old days). I think that's why I'm so excited for my daughter to go through it now.

that's exactly how my dad was, especially since he didn't go away for college! he lived vicariously through my sister and i for going away to school and then going greek. he loved coming to visit and going to the bars!
best of luck to you and your daughter! she's embarking on a wonderful journey!

Your daughter is a fortunate young woman to have such a supportive mother and to be embarking on such an incredible adventure. I wish her all the best! Thanks for keeping us posted. If I'm excited for her I can't imagine how you must be feeling!!

Thanks for being a supportive mom----without one, sometimes it can be hard....I know from experience.
Good luck to your daughter!! Tell her:
Follow your heart, and you will find your home!

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone - for her and for me!
Mu_Agd - I'm definitely living vicariously through my daughter as she goes through recruitment - not so sure she'll let me go to bars with her like your dad though - not that I won't try - and not that my precious perfect (underage) daughter would ever go to a bar
