When I was in school, I didn't have the money to order all the dangles I had earned, only two - and they're in white gold. I'd love to "catch up" and get all the dangles I've earned, but for a yellow gold pin. But, I would need to mix the colors, as the one dangle I have isn't even made anymore - a tiny little paddle for MEVP! Someday....!

Oh, I'd love the all diamond pin, too! I'd even settle for the 3 diamonds between points rather than the four to get the diamonds!!

I have only one pin right now. ITs the one I was initiatited with: fairly plain with raised hands. It has four pearl points and then a gold "rope" looking engraving in between the pearls. I love it. I still don't have a guard (While I love being in one of the oldest chapters still in existence, I always thought the two letter chapter guards looked the best )

Someday I would love to get a pin that has pearls all the way around. To me that is the epitome of ADPi pins. I would also like to get a pin with all pearls and then sapphire or aquamarine points.

Re: ADPi Pin Information!

My pins:
1) Initiation Pin: Yellow gold, 4 pearls on points with rope thing in between. This one has all my dangles from college on it. It's in storage in Mississippi somewhere and I don't remember what kind of hands and stars (raised, flat or indented) it has. It will be nice to get it back in a year and a half when we move back.
2) Yellow gold, all pearl with 3 in between the points, indented stars, flat hands, from 1962 with a pearl Beta Gamma guard, in perfect condition.
3) Yellow gold, Sapphire points with 3 pearls in between the points, (but missing two of the pearls), flat stars, flat hands, not dated, clasp does not work.
4) Yellow gold, all pearl with 4 in between the points, indented stars, flat hands, not dated, clasp in working order, "antiqued" condition (it looks old, the gold is somewhat tarnished).

Pin I would eventually love to get:
White gold, alternating pearls and sapphires. These two alternating gems, forming the blue and white, just seems to be the epitome of ADPi for me.

ETA description of 4th pin.

Could you imagine receiving and reading a legacy recommendation from one of the Founders' great-granddaughters??

When I went through Jewel Degree, Ella's Great many times over granddaughter was there. She, being an ADPi, not only participated in the ceremony, but also brought Ella's personal bible used during her time in the Adelphean Society. We borrowed it for the ceremony. It was sooooo cool to have shared a piece of history like that.

Re: ADPi Pin Information!

What type of pin do you have?
What type of pin would you love to acquire?
Any fun Alpha Delta Pi pin facts you'd like to share?

My Pins:
1. My initiation pin is the plain in yellow gold, raised hands. I didn't want my parents to have to fork over anymore $$ when I pledged so I just went with the basic pin.

2. After I had been in for a bit of time, I asked my parents to buy me a new pin for Christmas. It is the all pearl (3 between pts)yellow gold with the double, plain letter guard. I have some of my officer dangles, EVP, Scholarship and Chaplain. I need to see if they make a Rho Chi dangle anymore to add to it. I truly don't wear this pin as much as I would like to. In our AA, we just don't wear our pins much.

What I want:
1. A yellow gold pin with all pearls and 4 between the points.
2. Yellow gold alt. pearls and sapphires - I, like adpi*nurse think that this pin and its colors are the epitome of adpi.
3. All opal! So rare and so gorgeous!
4. All diamond! I can dream, can't I?

I'm just loving hearing about everyone's pins (and hope everyone has the correct Pin Disposition form ready for when you are no longer with us)!!!

I forget to mention that I once saw an "art deco" one - yellow gold, plain pin but with pearl points. I literally gasped when I saw it - truly, it's an original!!

I was also tempted to add that the all diamond pin is a given in every Alpha Delta Pi's heart, but instead, I'll just add that to my wish list, too!

I've never seen the "roping" some of y'all have described. Is there a picture of it somewhere?

My Pins:
1. Initiation Pin: My personal badge is yellow gold with pearls and saphire points. It has the raised hands and a simple gold guard. 1998

2. My Great Aunt's Pin: A year after I pledged, my great aunt mailed me her badge as a gift, since I was the only adpi in the family since her. It is the covetted all opal badge in yellow gold. The hands are not raised and the stars are cut out. 1936

3, 4, 5: I have received 3 more yellow gold pins, all plain in style with the hands flush and the stars cut out. Two have come with guards, one without. The dates range from 1925-1967, I think.

I want an all diamond badge in white gold. But I wouldn't mind an all saphire badge in white gold either.

My pin is yellow gold with alternating pearls and sapphires. Part of my thinking when I first wanted it was that it was the epitome of ADPi! I fell in love with it the second I saw a picture of it, and I knew that's what I had to have. I was kind of short on funds, but I knew I'd regret it if I didn't get it.

As for pins I want, it's all about the opals for me. Those pins are gorgeous, and I wish that was still an option! Ooh, alternating opals and sapphires? That would be gorgeous...

The other pin I'd LOVE to have, of course, is one of the original Adelphean ones! Don't know if that's very likely, but a girl can dream!

Is there a place online where we can see pictures of the various pins?

My original pin is yellow gold with all pearls, 3 pearls between the points.

I also have a yellow gold pin with alternating sapphires and pearls.

I want a pin with garnets because my baby is due in January and I think it would be awesome for her to have it when she is an ADPi one day.

Of course, I would love an all diamond one!

Well since I recently purchased the pin/ring off of ebay I thought I would update the info on my pins (so excited to finally add an s to that word)... and post pictures... cause I am a dork like that...

My original pin is aquamarine points with 3 pearls in between... It has my Epsilon Xi plain guard attached to it... and the dangles in order: Scholarship Chair, 150 years, Webmaster, 2 scholarship pearls and the diamond sister dangle... I am still short the Recruitment Info Counselor dangle and the Jewel Degree Dangle... I also have more pearls to put on it if i ever get around to it...

My new pin/ring is ruby points with 4 pearls in between... It is mounted on an about size 6 ring... There is some wear and damage to it... But I still feel in love with it... especially when you see it in person you realize how much the owner must have loved it... It was worn a lot...

How come you have so many pearls? We only get one pearl and/or one gold ball total....I was just wondering how your chapter does it?
