do you all remember, the strapless dress/ no strapless dress, nose ring/ no nose ring threads from last fall's recruitment? it's funny how long some of those discussions can go on! recruitment attire can be one of the most carefully pondered subjects any pnm does to prepare for recruitment, I guess b/c it's one thing you DO have control of while prepping. I will say that as a sister it does help you get remembered if you're wearing something that sticks out (in a good way) amongst all the other pnms. conversely,
if your boobs are hanging out or we can see your thong through your tight white pants...you will be remembered for it! I don't even think it's purposeful alot of times, but when you are trying to remember 50 plus women or 100 or 1000plus a sister will sometimes ask to have her memory refreshed and one of the best ways is "oh! she had on that beautiful red dress" or "she had those cute pink sandals on". Again it can also end up: "she was the one whose butt kept hanging out of her low rise jeans everytime she moved"...so I definitely think it's a good idea to plan, but I also think it could be very funny to an outsider how long we will discuss the pros and cons of the lilly pulitzer dress!

YES!!! FLIP FLOPS ARE A MUST!!!!!!! you don't bring your purse inside the houses, so just bring a bag and throw flip flops in it to wear after you get out of the houses. ALSO, bring coffee filters to wipe off the sweat...it helps a lot!!! (doesn't ruin your makeup)

When they say to bring an umbrella, do they mean a regular rain umbrella, or a fancy parasol?

For a Southern School, you can never go wrong with Lilly Pulitzer. Most places have started marking it down.

sweetheart

the umbrella is to keep you and your lovely recruitment outfits dry, so leave your fancy parasol at home!!
